Had a lovely Friday night dinner with my wife and a friend of ours. Food and service were first class. Thanks so much!

Just had the most amazing Sunday lunch at this amazing cozy pub Staff very attentive and friendly Food very good great size portions Would definitely visit again when visiting friends

Had a great meal 14/09/23 with my wife at the pubs 'Steak Night '. Fillet steak and all the trimmings to die for. Emily our young waitress was fantastic, very attentive. Couldn 't fault it, will defo be there for the next one. Ver carta

Food was good service was pretty poor I even got up and got my drinks myself ? If that doesn't tell you at the bar there is something not right well I don't know ? Gave an excellent review last time but I don't know what's happened since? Staff need to be more attentive not congregating at the the bar chatting ,

Came to The Old Cherry Tree on Sunday afternoon and had such an amazing meal with Family. Amazing portions, beautiful atmosphere and a gorgeous setting in a lovely village. Food was incredible as always, a great range of cocktails and tasty gins too! Would always recommend this place to others, perfect for a family meal, a few drinks or a romantic date night!

This place needs to decide whether it’s a pub or a restaurant. Yes you can be both, but the clientele need to be separated. I didn’t appreciate sitting down to a meal with four lager-louts on the next table. This is just not acceptable, particularly given the eye-watering prices charged for the food. I have paid less at Michelin starred restaurants. I don’t mind paying for exceptional food and great ambience but this was neither. The food was perfectly acceptable but that’s all. Ver carta

We celebrated a birthday at The Old Cherry Tree, and 6 of us had a fantastic meal on a Thursday evening. The thought and detail in each dish was superb. We all went for something with a game twist, and enjoyed wood pigeon and venison, all sourced locally. The Old Cherry Tree team are clearly passionate about where their food is sourced from and how it is prepared, and this could not be more evident in how it is presented. We could not fault it. The pub is tucked away, but every effort should be made to find this absolute gem! A brilliant pub and an attentive team. A must visit for all!

Absolutely fantastic food and service. Booked for a 60th birthday surprise for my husband for a group 13 people and the staffs organisation was flawless from start to finish. Food was amazing tasty, well cooked and plenty of it all meals came up at the same time and hot (and have been to plenty of places where this doesn’t happen for such a large group) waiting staff are attentive happy , which made the visit even better. Desserts were delicious and huge portions too and those who struggle to finish were given theirs to take home bonus! Could not fault one single thing and can’t wait to return for another meal. Arrived for lunch to an empty restaurant and ordered soft drinks whilst browsing menu. Menu was a bit fancy for lunch and steak had recently been removed as a lunch option. Didn’t really fancy anything else on the menu so asked if steak was available…employee told us it could not be done. We chose to leave and went to the bar to pay for drinks. Same employee punched drinks price on card machine and placed it on the bar where I couldn’t see the display, so I had to ask how much. She told me the price, I tapped card on machine and left. No please, thank you or any communication from her whatsoever. Just because we didn’t fancy what was on the menu? Perhaps because it was a little pretentious?... Ver carta
