"Visited with friends on a dismal winter day when the lock gates were being repaired and an ultra low tide. I imagine on a fine day it would be far more appealing. I chose Fish and chips which were pretty average, however our companions chose rather more wisely and were very happy with their food. Cost was £30 each for 2 courses Inc a glass of wine and service."

"Food was alright, not the best tapas I've had. We were missing a dish from our order that took a long time to come out once we told staff and they then bumbled about trying to sort it. The secret garden in the back is...really lovely and has heat lamps. We were quite unceremoniously turfed out when our hour was up (I understand having times for the table but seriously it was get up and go It was all very rushed and not the relaxing, good time we were looking for. Then on the way out, we did not see any signs showing to use the side exit and instead went to go back through the main front door which is where we came through at the start of the night. Two male staff members, rather than ask us to use the side exit, shared comments between each other saying It would be nice if people read the signs and other passive aggressive remarks on their way into the staff/kitchen area. Safe to say we felt that was not appropriate after spending a decent amount on food and drinks for people. We will not be coming back."

"Antonio's is a gem of Portishead. For a long time I fell out of love with pizza after I went to Italy as it was so incredible there. I did not think a humble restaurant in Portishead would fully reignite my love for it. For the quality, freshness, taste and size of what you get here, after trying it, it's madness to me that anyone would go to dominos instead! Antonio's is a family run business and it's authentic. It's now a takeaway but the quality has remained"

"My Friend treated me to afternoon tea for my birthday, Well what can I say, what an amazing couple of hours the staff were very friendly and welcoming, we could order our sandwich fillings and bread type this was served with a selection of crisps cheese biscuits, we had a choice of cake flavours, Scones with a choice of jams and clotted cream, brownies, fruit served with a pot of Tea we had such a lovely afternoon and will definately recommend to family and friends"

"I had an absolutely fantastic time at The Star in Tickenham! The Sunday roast was a delight – the topside of beef was cooked to perfection, and the array of vegetables and roasties were top-notch. The extra sides, including pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese with truffle, were a delicious addition. And let's talk dessert – the biscoff cheesecake was a scrumptious treat! The drinks selection was impressive, starting with traditional pints and transitioning to cocktails in the sunny beer garden. It was the ideal spot to enjoy drinks and soak up some rays. The service was impeccable, thanks to the friendly and welcoming Zak. He truly went above and beyond, making our experience even more enjoyable. Speaking of value, the three-course Sunday roast meal for £22.95 was an absolute steal! The combination of great food, drinks, service, and value makes it a no-brainer – we're definitely planning to return for another memorable visit. ️ Service: 5"
