"Visited with friends on a dismal winter day when the lock gates were being repaired and an ultra low tide. I imagine on a fine day it would be far more appealing. I chose Fish and chips which were pretty average, however our companions chose rather more wisely and were very happy with their food. Cost was £30 each for 2 courses Inc a glass of wine and service."

If you didn’t want potatoes and veg with your meal. And had chips instead you pay extra for the chips. Small portions too.

Great meal on Saturday. Everything was beautifully made and reasonably priced. The staff were lovely, very efficient and the atmosphere was great. All in all a really lovely evening

Waiters too busy to notice us, we had to flag them down every time. The lamb shanks were fine but not meltingly tender, vegetables very ordinary. The pasta was a small portion on a very large plate but apparently tasted good. Good atmosphere. Overall a bit disappointed.
