"This was a decent pub where I met a group of friends for drinks and a meal. I would say the drinks were on the expensive side £2.20 for half a pint of lemonade if I recall correctly). The food was mostly in the range of around £10 £12 if I remember correctly for a main which I think is not necessarily cheap, but not outrageous for a pub main. The seating was comfortable the place was spacious enough to not feel overly crowded when a lot of tables were in use. The staff were friendly and helpful. Hot drinks including decaf was also available, and the menu included a couple veggie options I would say it seemed suitable for vegetarians unsure about vegans) but not great for people wanting more than 1 or 2 vegetarian options. Overall, I would return to this pub and generally recommend it."

Everything could be improved drastically. Not recommend for any occasion. Food was an utter waste of money.

Food is very good and great service! Nice pub for eating, drinking and watching sports. They also have events, so keep an eye out for them!

The looks of this pub iv very nice, especially now that the weather is opening! I visited a couple of times in September, where I and my girlfriend had lunch over a glass of wine! Ver carta

Just goes to show that local can be best! What a fantastic meal. I had slow roast pork and my husband had the duck. Both meals were delicious and perfectly cooked with fresh vegetable sides. Will definitely be revisiting.

Came in for a bite at lunchtime and to try the new menu. Didn’t fancy the traditional Sunday roast so went for the prawns! Absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately they were so good I forgot to toe a picture before I finished then so I present you with an empty dish. Friendly staff and a safe clean environment

The prices at this restaurant are overly expensive and the atmosphere is nothing extraordinary. The manager and other staff members do not meet the standard of good bar service. I am puzzled by the positive reviews on this platform, as they seem questionable when compared to the consistently negative feedback on Google reviews. Ver carta

I recently had my 30th birthday party at The Old White Hart and it was a fantastic experience. I had originally booked with another restaurant but they were disorganized and terrible, so I was relieved when I switched to The Old White Hart. The staff were accommodating and polite, and the food was excellent. Thank you for making my party a memorable one!

We reserved the Purple room for a 21st birthday party. The venue is conveniently located with a spacious car park. The room is a perfect size and layout for a party, with a cozy seating area for guests to chat. We were able to decorate the room as we pleased, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The buffet food was of great quality and the staff arranged it for us. I would highly recommend this venue.

"I had the pleasure of visiting La Terraza Tapas Bar in Upton with my kids, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The ambiance was incredibly cozy and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a family outing. The friendly staff added to the welcoming atmosphere, making us feel right at home. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the tapas selection. The steak with chimichurri sauce was a burst of flavors that left us craving for more, and the Tempura prawns were simply delectable. It's clear that the chefs here take pride in their creations, as every dish we tried was a delightful journey for the taste buds. As a first-time visitor, I was thoroughly impressed by the overall experience, and I can confidently say it won't be our last visit. While the prices leaned slightly towards the expensive side, the quality of the food and the cozy ambiance more than made up for it. La Terraza Tapas Bar strikes the perfect balance between a gourmet dining experience and a comfortable family outing. I also appreciated the cleanliness of the restaurant, which is always an important factor for me when choosing a place to dine. All in all, La Terraza Tapas Bar offers a fantastic option for a memorable lunch with family or friends. If you're looking for a place that combines delicious food, a warm atmosphere, and a touch of elegance, this is definitely a spot worth considering. AKASAKA Japanese

"I wondered why this restaurant described itself on the board outside as ‘fusion’, why there were so many Korean dishes on the menu and why the serving staff have heard of Asahi beer but haven’t heard of The Asahi Shimbun, a Japanese daily newspaper that is at least 50 years old. The answer is that the Akasaka website isn’t being completely honest when it describes their Northampton branch as a Japanese restaurant. They aren’t really Japanese, although some of their menu items are clearly Japanese. Don’t let that put you off, however, as they are serving excellent food and we enjoyed our meal there very much. It cost us about £70 (inc. 10% tip) for our meal for two people including a 175ml glass of Sauvignon Blanc for my lovely wife and two 330ml bottles of Asahi Dry for me. The sushi was excellent, the edamame beans were great but we didn’t feel that the Dolsot Bibimbap (a Korean dish with loads of rice, some shredded vegetables, prawns and a fried egg on top) offered very good value for money at just under sixteen pounds. We would recommend Akasaka in Northampton and would certainly go there again, but if we want a genuinely Japanese meal, prepared and served by Japanese staff, then we will be sticking to Ginza Restaurant on Wellingborough Road in Northampton. Don’t like the way that the male members of staff at Sakura on Bridge Street speak to their female colleagues, very disrespectful, so we avoid that Japanese restaurant nowadays. Great to have a choice of three Japanese restaurants in Northampton post-pandemic, and our favourite of the three is Ginza."
