"I wish that I had had my phone with me to of taken photos I was staying in Eastleigh for Christmas. I am no fan of Eastleigh. . Had nipped out to go for a jog but instead nipped in for a bite to eat. At my regular gurkka in Hampshire I've ordered the starter Tikka Paneer with mushroom rice and loved it. Their starter Tikka Paneer full of flavours and was generous in portion with more than 4 pieces at similar price to the Great Moghul. Including was the mushroom rice. Sliced mushrooms, sliced spring onions and pease. Full of flavours. The flavour was none too heavy But here at the Great Moghul, I ordered the same. Tikka Panner starter with mushroom rice. Though eaten as was hungry and not eaten all day, the paneer had no taste. Looked red. The colour of tikka seasoning but lacked tikka taste. The paneer had been fried with some pieces over crispy. Also, only four pieces of paneer. The rice, was a very small portion with chunks of fresh mushrooms.I also ordered two poppadoms. I was expecting to receive them warm but they were cold. Whatever happened to the day when we would order a meal or a couple of starters that we would receive a complimentary warm poppadom?"

"hursley needed a decent pub for the years, I found that the competition was a alienating atmosphere and the quality of the food was bad. since hearing the dolphin had new owners I felt that I had to test it, and I must say I am 100% impressed! and I am. said the pub will also be restored in the next months! first I visited with my daughter for a dessert with just us. we were greeted in the pub and our table shown. everything was very clean and my daughter immediately fell in love with the old building and history. the menu included some good clips for children, as we all know that they are with what they eat! eating was amazing! such a high quality and quite expensive. it was made clear to the house and there was no part of it I did not enjoy. the same applies to my daughter who cleaned her teller, and this is rare for her! ben, the manager was warm and friendly and checked for us, but was not intrusive. that can be difficult so I was impressed! the employees were so friendly and very interacting when they spoke to us, they went extra mile to take allergies too. If I were not a native, I would rent one of the rooms they have so that I could eat and drink with a short stolper to bed! if they were not, then they do not wait, the new owners also have the hunters and this is another amazing pub, so it is great to see that they know what they do and use local products and keep the community feeling of the village alive. I would have made more photos of the food, but it was too good to wait for photos! I'll take more when I'm next!"

"We went for lunch today and, as always, it was wonderful. The portions of homemade food were generous. We started with prawn cocktail and tempura prawns, which were deliciously crispy. For our main course, we had a freshly cooked omelette and toastie, perfectly prepared with a side salad and chips. There is a wide variety of food options available that cater to everyone's tastes. The landlady and staff were friendly, and the service was efficient. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. Congratulations to Emma and the team, you are a great asset to this establishment."

"We visited here on a Tuesday evening for the first time and the welcome we received was so friendly and welcoming, we immediately felt at home. The staff go out of their way to make sure you are well looked after. The menu is simple but the quality of the food is fantastic and obviously home cooked and freshly prepared, it was beautiful and we enjoyed every mouthful. The night we visited was quiz night, which we joined in with and was great fun, with a really varied age range of people taking part the atmosphere was very friendly and warm, something very rare in a pub these days. We wish the new owners every success and can't wait to return thank you for a really enjoyable evening, would highly recommend."

"So where do we start? The beers are amazing, with a mixture of house (brewed onsite) and guest beers/ciders. The food is impressive, I recommend the K.F.C and the Smoked Stack. The venue is small but not cramped and the prices are more than reasonable for the quality. I was travelling with work and booked my hotel specifically so I could come and try this place and it did not disappoint. Visited two evenings and the venue was busy both times so it may be wise to book a table if there's a few of you. My advice....come and check this place out!!!"
