The Pack Horse - Carta

Son and I stopped for spot of lunch. We both had the lasagne and really enjoyed it. The lasagne should be on The National Health in my view. Staff great and prices competitive.

Lovely food and friendly and helpful staff can cater for all allergy and intolerances have a fantastic tablet that's so easy to use : great value for money would definitely recommend this pub to everyone.

Our waiter her here was absolutely amazing, he couldn’t have gone done more for us! He also had a great laugh with us, cracking jokes a long with us and generally been amazing with us. I wouldn’t rate him more. Ver carta

Great place for a casual evening, food excellent, staff very attentive and friendly. We had chicken wings with a spicy rub rub and fondue steak absolutely delicious, definitely recommend. Well done to all the team and keep the good work up

Wow how this place has gone down hill , we visit every year when I visit but this time the food was shocking , asked for steak cooked blue and came out medium , scampi was like a child's portion and the bread was stale , really disappointed

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The steak was cooked to perfection We enjoyed our meal that much we hadn't left enough room for a sweet. So, the plan is, next time we return we will try and have both. We were a big party who went for my son's 16th birthday, this pub is fairly local to us and familiar and we've always enjoyed it , but last night they excelled themselves, our waiter was amazing as was the food which all came out at same time and was delicious , thanks to everyone at the Pack Horse we had a great night

This restaurant served one of the best rib eye steaks I have ever tried, if not the absolute best. It has a family-friendly atmosphere, similar to a beefeater pub but even better. The rib eye was fantastic and well-priced. The service was friendly, just as you would expect in the North East. I am staying nearby for a short holiday and will definitely be coming back for another meal.

We called late in the day to make a reservation after seeing the positive reviews, and we were fortunate to get a table. The staff was fantastic and pleasant, providing quick service. The highlight of our experience was the amazing food. We ordered a medium rare steak, a mixed grill, and gammon with pineapple. All three dishes were beautifully presented on a hot skillet, sizzling hot. The meat, from the steak to the gammon, was juicy, expertly cooked, and of high quality. The grilled tomatoes were hot and juicy, just as I like them, and were accompanied by diced hot onions, garden peas, and the usual chips. We also ordered onion rings on the side.
