Had lunch here before going to evening races at Newmarket. Top drawer. Food excellent. My wife left word it was my birthday when she booked. Loved the extractreats put on.

I visited this restaurant and found the staff to be friendly. The food was delicious, but the portions were small and the prices were quite high. For example, a pint of Peroni cost £5.20, a fillet of sea bass with rice and vegetables was £20, and desserts were £8.

We had an incredible stay in the Warren room. Dinner was exceptional, especially the chicken and we were really impressed with the dietary options, listed aswell as extra adaptations made by the chef's to exclude some ingredients. The staff were friendly and always on hand to help out. We will definitely be back.

We have been here a few times and love everything about this place ,a real treat.i would of given 5 but I am coeliac and even though the food is delicious there wasn’t any gluten free lager, I hope this issue will soon be sorted as I am visiting again tomorrow and I want to continue dining at this lovely restaurant in the futureRegardsDawn Carter

Visited for lunch based on a recommendation and was not disappointed, the food, service and value were excellent. I took my elderly mother for lunch and the staff were very considerate, the ambience was very relaxed and welcoming. The food was a great balance between quantity and quality and represented real value for money. My mother thought her dessert the best she had ever had!

Have been to packhorse previously, and have always enjoyed Sunday lunch there. However I can only guess it has changed hands/ management and chef. The dinning experience was positively average at best- food varies from over cooked meat to undercooked vegetables. Such a shame to have seen such a nice restaurant let it’s standards slip so far. Certainly will not be going back and could not possibly recommend it to anybody Conor
