I loved this place it had everything I wanted and the greeting was great I was never without a drink and the chef had real knowledge about vegan. the little dinge let me love this place

If you want value for money, traditional dinner with lovely service highly recommend their 3 Course Sunday Lunch. Even the veggies are delicious im not big on veggies! Service with a smile. Highly Recommend

Good traditional dinner in a traditional atmosphere..3 courses all beautiful great service friendly bar staff. Carrots are the best iv tasted! Beef melts. Selection of desserts all homemade yummy. Great value for money!

We didn't make a reservation, but decided to treat ourselves to a night off from cooking. We went to The Red Lion and enjoyed a delicious steak meal and homemade lasagna. The pub was welcoming as always and the staff were very accommodating. Yum yum.

We have yet again had a great meal.we both had the Thai green curry.followed by jam sponge and custard and rice pudding.all food was yummy.and again everyone was friendly.they should be alot busier than they are on this poticuler evening.Thank you again.

We felt warmly welcomed from the moment we stepped through the door. This quaint local pub is run by friendly and attentive owners and staff. Everyone was informed of the COVID regulations and the necessary precautions were in place. We enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch that felt like a comforting family feast, with tender beef, savory trimmings, and exceptional stuffing. We will definitely be returning to this cozy establishment.

Visited again today and had the sunday lunch, pate to start was lovely and I opted for the beef dinner.... what can I say outstanding, my knife wenth through the beef like it was butterected delicious.. dessert I opted for the Belgium waffle with ice cream and raspberry coulis.... all delicious. Excellent price as well 3 courses for £10.50.... Always excellent service and banter as always from Gwen, Glen, Robert and Arwel.... Can't wait for my next visit x

I went with my parents for a family meal out and the experience wasn't unpleasant but the food was nothing to write home about. I had fish and chips and the fish was soggy inside, not much flavor at all and the chips were so subpar. I honestly could have cooked better fish and chips from my freezer at home. It's very much a blokes pub for a few pints and watch the sports, it definitely wasnt the best meal we've had for the price of around £10 per person. To be fair the service was very friendly, can't say a bad word about that. Just the food was nothing special.

Fantastic 2 night stay in the B&B rooms above the family run gastro pub. A warm welcome (even to an Englishman from everyone both sides of the bar! Dog friendly and very much a countryside theme in the decor throughout. Close to many scenic attractions including Carly ruins, long empty beaches and shopping. Several cask ales on draught and a full compliment of wines and spirits. Full menu from breakfasts, lunches, and evening meals using local produce. Real fires and cosy rooms to have your meal. Clean and stylish rooms to relax in afterwards, with a good night’s sleep.
