"If you are passing by or staying in Dunkeld please choose The Perth Arms as the place to eat. We popped in at lunch time for a drink and quickly noticed people in for food . Decided to try it on our second night and was so glad we did . Karen and her team were very welcoming, very busy for a Tuesday night but we were offered a quiet space in the lounge. The food was amazing . We ordered the venison and fish and chips . Chef Scott delivered some great tasting food piping hot and full of flavour. Very impressed indeed ! Nice choice of wines too. Don’t pass this place by . Cheaper and much better quality than other local places serving food. We will definitely choose The Perth Arms on our return to Dunkeld . Booking advisable for the evenings. Enjoy !!"

Friendly local pub. Good service, food and beer. Enjoyed seeing folks with their dogs (rarely allowed in USA).

Went here as dog friendly and stopping on local campsite 15 mins walk away food was fine as were drinks. Good value. Locals nice enough. Pub and toilets just need a bit of money spending on them and a good deep clean to be fair ! Ver carta

I thought the food was really good. I am quite a plain eater the steak pie was great. Proper steak pie not that silly bit of pastry on top at the last minute. We shared mussels and chicken wings to start both really good. The beer was good and staff and locals very friendly.

This place is a real hidden gem! We booked to eat here while staying in Dunkeld for the night, and it’s definitely one of the best meals my girlfriend and I have had in a long time. I can see why this place is so popular with the locals, as the food is outstanding! The wine was good too.

We were staying at The Dunkeld House Hotel over the Christmas period but decided we didn't want to pay £22.75 for fish and chips on 23rd December as we had just arrived. Just wanted good honest pub grub for the first night. And that is exactly what we got at The Perth Arms. Excellent value and food with friendly staff. Definitely would recommend. Ver carta

This is a proper pub. It 's unpretentious with a great cosy, welcoming atmosphere. The food here is delicious. The chef has a menu which is considered. There are standard choices such as steak pie, fish and chips etc but also things like venison fillet with horseradish mash, so something to suit everyone. I had the steak pie (with homemade chips wow) which was delicious. An absolute must when in Dunkeld you should book as it is very popular!

Have been honoured to visit the Perth Arms for any years, as recently as last week. Had dinner on 2 nights. Venison starter and Guinea Fowl main both invented by the chef who is owners son. Other half had chicken burger and steak pie over 2 nights. Very, very dog friendly, our lab gets tteats and cuddles all the time. You will need to book on most evenings, so don't be surprised to be laughed at if you come in off the bat. No messing with Karen, Ewan, Whinny, Shaun, Lois and rest of team. You will get respect if you give it!! Also, great jukebox with a mix of favourites.

"We stumbled across this place on the last night of a fortnight in Scotland and couldn 't be more glad that we did and that they had space. We were seated promptly (underneath the fan thankfully considering the heatwave), asked whether we 'd eaten there before (we hadn 't), had the menu explained to us (suggested 3 tapas per person) and then left alone briefly to consider the menu. Once ordered, drinks were delivered in a timely fashion, followed by breads dips to tempt tide us over until our tapas arrived. It wasn 't very quick, but I didn 't think it was unduly long either just the right length of time for non fast food that is being prepared freshly. And when it arrived, we were delighted as it was delicious! The only slight disappointment was that salted cod wasn 't available, but that was soon forgotten. My personal favourite was the poached chorizo in red wine with honey glaze, but we were happy with all of our options (patatas bravas, haggis balls, pinchas de pollo, spinach chickpea stew, haddock in red pepper sauce and Spanish tortilla the latter really made by the spicy tomato salsa on the side). 5 between the two of us would probably have sufficed, which would have meant I had space for one of the ice creams, but in hindsight, I 'm glad I didn 't. Excellent service, delicious food, our best meal of our holiday. We probably won 't be back (living in Birmingham and all) but definitely would if we were local."
