"Booked the hotel expecting a cute and quaint place to stay. The overall hotel in the public areas was very clean. The breakfast had great options! The staff were also friendly. It’s located right next door to Nessie land, which would be super convenient for families! The rooms left much to be desired. We stayed in the orchard wing. The showers were basically unusable, dramatically changing temperature from scalding hot to freezing cold on its own and dropping water pressure to only a dribble. There was mold in places in the room, and wall finishing a falling down. The hotel was booked full due to a tour bus coming through, so the shower issues may have been from the full bus of young adults all showering at the same time? Either way, would have rather spent a bit more for a hotel or B&B nearby that had a working shower. The restaurant needs reservations for dinner. When we arrived at the hotel and checked in around 7:00pmish, the restaurant had already been booked full. Rooms: 2 Service: 5 Location: 4 Hotel highlights: Quiet"

Rooms could do with a decent hoovering. However hotel is still a classic Highland one so pretty much what i expected. Situated in a great wee place. The staff were wonderful and really nice people to deal with. Rooms: 2 Service: 5 Location: 5 Ver carta

First things first: the food was great. However, the food and drinks felt overpriced and the service was abysmal. The man behind the bar, I suspect the owner, was incapable of handling a crowd of 25 people. He also seemed to be blaming his staff of two, even though he himself was clearly not contributing whatsoever. If you're with a group of larger than 1, you'd do yourself a service by going somewhere else. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £30–40

The room was horrible! It smelt of old socks and mould. The lady at the check in was incredibly positive and kind as she was describing her 5 star continental breakfast which was mainly cheap white toast and yogurt. On the first night they said they could not serve us as there was a party of 50 people in room next door so all we had was a lemonade for dinner. When we got to the bar we were greeted by a grumpy old man who just grunted at us. Rooms: 1 Service: 1 Location: 1 Hotel highlights: Quiet

Run away if you want to spend a friendly evening. The restaurant had 7 guests but we had to wait 30 minutes to sit at the table. We were a family of 6 but could not eat all together. We had to sit at two separate tables. After eating our dish we ask for the dessert menu but the boss refuses because it was too late (8.30PM) and must close the restaurant. Too bad because our dishes were good... Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Parking options: Free parking lot Ver carta

The food here was excellent and the staff were super friendly. They did seem to be getting a bit overwhelmed with the dinner crowd so there were long waits. They could maybe do with a few more staff members. We got the tomato bisque, baked camembert, fish with prawns and the chicken (I can't remember the specific names), cheese board and the brownie sunday. Everything was very delicious, I think they just need to work on their method for running the front end. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Really shocking experience and I would certainly avoid this place at all costs. It’s not busy and there is an obvious disregard for customers. I feel sorry for the staff who work here as well as the adjoining hotel who have to deal with the fallout with this. We stayed in the Loch Ness Lodge Hotel next door for 2 nights each night we ended up having drinks in the Pibroch. Most of the drinks were on a tab from a relative it wasn’t until I had a quiet drink a lone that I realized that this place is nothing short of a scam. Glass of house wine £9.65!?!? Crazy. Now it figures why this place was always completely empty. I challenged the bar man as well as the receptionist at the hotel who sympath...

"Oh, what a day we had at The White House for my auntie’s 88th! It was pure magic, right from the off. The team there couldn’t have been more welcoming, making us all feel right at home in the heart of Scotland. Now, let’s gab about the food it was out of this world! We started with gluten free fish n chips, and let me tell you, it was as good as any chippy by the sea – crispy, golden, and just packed with flavor. The venison steak and beef short rib? Cooked just how you’d want them, tender and full of taste. The gluten free burgers were a hit too, so juicy and well seasoned. For pudding, we had these scoops of ice cream, smooth as you like, and an apple crunch cheesecake that was simply to die for. But it was our server, Anastasia, who really made our day. She was a wee star – always there with a smile, quick with a recommendation, and knew her menu inside out. I barely noticed our water bottle was empty, and whoosh, there she was with a full one. That’s service for you! The atmosphere in The White House was just as warm and inviting as you’d hope for. It felt like sitting in a cosy wee pub in the Highlands, with all the charm and friendliness you’d expect. So, if you’re ever in the mood for a meal that’s as satisfying as a wee dram on a cold night, head to The White House. It’s not just eating; it’s a proper Scottish experience, full of heart and soul"
