"We arrived at the restaurant half an hour early and were promptly seated at our table, which was great. We enjoyed some drinks and conversation before placing our order. We were informed that the kitchen was busy and there would be a slight delay, which we understood given the packed restaurant. However, after an hour passed, we still hadn't received our food while other tables that arrived after us were being served. Just as we were about to inquire about our order, the Head chef realized that it hadn't been placed yet. We decided to cancel our starters and just ordered our mains, as we were quite hungry by then. Fortunately, the food arrived quickly and was beautifully presented and delicious. Dessert was also homemade and delightful. The only disappointment was the lack of apology for the delay and mishap with our order. A simple gesture of apology would have gone a long way in improving our overall experience."

"Good pub grub, not too expensive, and no airs or graces, nice range of beers and some interesting ciders. Locals all friendly. Staff on duty were all helpful and attentive even when the pub was busy. Lots of smallish rooms, and a big garden. The football, Liverpool TV Chanel, was on in the room we ate in, the volume wasn’t loud, so it didn’t disturb those weren’t interested but just load enough for those who were. A nice compromise. Other rooms don’t have the TV so you can always try and get a table there. Speaking of getting a table, they don’t take bookings, so it is first come first served."

"I had a fantastic experience at this tea shop! The staff is wonderful, the ambiance is delightful, and the food is outstanding. Over the years, I've visited several times for cream teas and light lunches and was always impressed. Recently, I discovered just how amazing their full menu is. I'm even considering looking for a house in Worth Matravers just to have easy access to this charming spot!"

"I would highly recommend this beautiful restaurant. it is a very welcoming place and has friendly and very helpful staff. there is a great selection of food and eating is simply delicious, beautiful and hot. we ate here two nights in a row and were not disappointed. they were very helpful in my nutritional requirements, which is very soothing. beautiful clean restaurant with a great character. I would recommend most definitley here to friends and family and most definitley come back. Thank you."

"We visited here whilst staying in the area and the reviews looked great. We called to book a table the day before but reservations are not taken in the school holidays, we were advised instead that food would be served from 5.30pm on a Saturday. We arrived on Saturday at 5pm expecting it to be busy only to be met with a sign outside stating food is served all day and a mob of people all at the bar ordering food. It was a manic rush to find a table but we chose next to the bar, we chose our meals waited for the calm but it didn’t come so I joined the queue and waited patiently. The bar staff were lovely really friendly the order was taken with ease and the drinks were reasonably priced. Despite being so busy our food arrived very quickly within twenty mins. My beef burger was nice and hot but dripping with grease, my boyfriends chicken burger was cold and dry however we could not get anyone’s attention to get it changed. I ate as much of my meal as I could with the constantly dripping burger and my boyfriend had one bite of his chicken burger and left the rest. We paid our bill and promptly left, we could have raised it on paying but felt there was no point as we just wanted to leave as the hustle and bustle in the bar didn’t make for a relaxing eating experience. It’s a shame as the puddings board looked good and we were going to stay for the evening but that was not to be.
