We had a lovely evening at the Plough. Great food and friendly staff, chatty and informal. Following lockdown the Pub has really thought out its proposition and none of the actions affect its charm. Reccommended

Walk here from Waltham for the Sunday carvery. The staff were very friendly. Small traditional English country pub. The carvery was delishious all cooked lovely. Even Homemade Yorkshire puds! Couldn't fault the dinner, definatly recommend.

Groupon offer great value for money. Service initially very good. Food tasty well presented and served in a nice environment. Let down having to wait 5 Mins at bar while bar person chatted to friends in other bar. Toilets clean, but not hygienic as had Woolen towel needs air dryer and or paper towels. For cleanliness. Otherwise recommend

We went for Sunday lunch and were pleasantly surprised. I've been there many years ago and it was a bit run down but it has changed very much for the better, not sure if it has changed hands but I suspect it has since my last visit. Staff were very helpful and courteous and the Sunday carvery was excellent, plenty of choice, well cooked and presented. All in all a very pleasant experience and we will certainly be going there again sometime.

We were staying a short walk away from this pub. There are two pubs close to each other but this came recommended by the owner of our B&B. First visit was only for a quiet drink and landlady was very welcoming. They have homemade pie which is very popular. We returned the following evening to eat and wasn't disappointed. I had cheese flan, light with a lovely thin crispy pastry. Home cooked chips with side salad. My partner had the steak and ale pie, again all home cooked. Empty plates say it all.
