Portman - Carta

The lamb was really tough you couldn’t cut it .. when I complained the lady bar worker became aggressive towards me.. completely unprofessional

Stopped in for dinner with family. Lovely staff serving and great food. Had nachos, chicken squid plus 2 desserts, panna cotta brownie. Really great find.

A local feeling traditional pub. Good for catching a math and having a few beers. Good draft selection and a few cask ales. No food service that I am aware of. Ver carta

Had a wonderful Sunday Roast, the pub had a great ambience and the food quality was first rate. The beer and wine selection was very good. It's not a big space so bookings are essential.

Relaxed, friendly atmosphere, great to be able to eat outside food was tasty and well presented with generous portions and staff/owners were attentive and natural, they clearly enjoy running the place. Beers were good as was the wine and the prices were reasonable for the area recommended!!

First dinner in London, ordered fish special and chicken and leek pie. Both were delicious, good drink choices. Nice pub without TV which was nice, friendly staff and well stocked bar. Option to eat outside with heaters but ate inside. Good place to stop in for a pint or drink at end of day. Ver carta

Limited area at bar waiting to sit at table upstairs. Crispy baby squid starter was tasty but chewy (overcooked? . Roast beef and chicken very good, but horseradish sauce was VERY disappointing. Excellent service throughout. Nice beers and wine. We had found it very difficult to make the lunch booking in the two weeks before our visit. Unanswered emails and phone calls.

The location was perfect because it was next door to our hotel. We went in there the first time for a drink and then on another night of our stay in london for dinner, drinks and dessert. Both times the servers were absolutely lovely, welcoming and friendly. The interior was modern yet cozy, just perfect! I was there with my mum and we would go there again anytime we‘re in london.

My son and I had been to the National History Museum and then a long walk through Hyde Park. We were hot and tired and just looking for a pub for a quick long drink. We saw the Portman, commented on how attractive it was and went inside. The interior was a cool, calm haven we didn't plan it but we each ordered a cocktail (beautifully made) and then seeing the menu decided to take lunch there. I had the Lincolnshire Poacher tart with Fennel salad which was delicious, my son had the beef and roquefort sandwich it was very good indeed. The barman was friendly and attentive making us very comfortable genuinely interested in our experience. When I return to London I will be eating at the Portman... Ver carta
