Fantastic cafe. I visit often with my cocker spaniel Skye. The staff is extremely friendly, and the coffee and food are excellent. I highly recommend it.

Excellent dog friendly cafe. Liz and staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. My cocker spaniel loves this cafe as she gets treats. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed a great breakfast here sitting in the sunshine fresh food, terrific service and at a good price thanks. And a nice grocery shop too in the Post Office section.

A great place to have tea or coffee and cake. A friendly welcome with outside seating . Very good choice of cakes and scones including delicious gluten free. Very tasty coffee served. Very warm and friendly staff.

I absolutely adore this cozy café! Whether you're meeting friends for breakfast or grabbing lunch with your mom, you can't go wrong here. The breakfasts are delectable, made with high-quality ingredients, and the main menu offers plenty of options to choose from. The specials are always delicious too. Liz and her fantastic team take great care of you, and the atmosphere is always warm and inviting. It's a truly marvelous dining experience!

My wife and I are on vacation at the Lake District, staying at the Crown Hotel in Wetheral. Shortly after we arrived, we received a lunch recommendation for the nearby Posting Pot, which is a combination cafe, restaurant, general store, and Post Office. We were warmly greeted by a friendly lady (Elaine or Liz?) who provided us with directions for a walk along the River Eden. We enjoyed the Soup of the Day (Broccoli) served with croutons and delicious granary bread. It was so tasty that we returned to the Posting Pot after our walk for Tea for Two and a generous slice of homemade local fruit cake. I have a feeling we will be returning to the Posting Pot again soon!

Oh my goodness! If you want the most delicious ever afternoon tea, get to The Posting Pot (ring them first! . Honestly, I don’t think you could get a better one anywhere! Little cup of soup, Brie and pesto tartlets, a selection of beautiful sandwiches, cheese scone with cream cheese, various salads, coleslaw, carrot sticks with dip, cheese wrapped salami, bruschetta with tomatoes or mushrooms, scones with clotted cream and jam, strawberry and cream cupcakes, grapes, chocolate covered strawberries, divine chocolate brownies, summer fruit Eton Mess, Prosecco and tea and coffee! I think that was everything! Yes, we were full!!! Thank you so much Liz Blythe and Elaine White. Wonderful!

We have had some great experiences of village shops with cafes recently and this is a good example. We were looking for somewhere for a break lunch and a walk while travelling back from Scotland, and this lovely village with its special cafe, post office and shop combination absolutely fitted the criteria. We were able to get a park right outside but there is never going to be a problem getting a park somewhere close by. There are lots of outdoor tables but at the time we arrived, it was damp outdoors and everyone had headed inside. We were able to get one of the tables in the big bay shopfront window and to enjoy both the outlook and the natural light. Friendly service and fresh sandwiches...
