"We were on holiday in Devon and came across The Prince of Wales pub in Princetown. Nice attitude when I ordered a couple of drinks. We saw a couple of blokes eating and bigging up the food which looked really good. We decided to eat there and ordered Hunters chicken and a homemade beef pie. One word describes it all SUPERB. I 've never had such a wonderful, homemade pie. Completely stuffed full with meat and the gravy was to die for. As for the Hunters chicken, my wife thought it was brilliant. Thank you very much to ALL the staff for an excellent time. Miss this place at your peril !!!!!"

I went for Sunday lunch with my 94-year-old mother. It was a carvery-style meal with options of beef or pork. There was a wide selection of vegetables and tasty gravy. The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. We enjoyed it so much that we made a reservation to go back the next week.

I called in on the spur of the moment with my son, we were the only people there at lunchtime on a Monday. The main attraction of the pub, are the numerous photos and memorabilia of the past mining history. Our meals were well cooked and good value, though basic pub fare. I wouldn't particularly have chosen this place but few places serve food at lunchtime on Mondays. It is worth a visit just to see the various items collected over many years.

we thought here was a cooked lunch and were very glad that we did it! it may not look stunning from the street view, but please not be deceived at the best homemade cakes at all! very friendly staff. dog-friendly pub (they even gave our guard some. dog biscuits). all the food that happened from our table looked fantastic. if they would strongly recommend eating something, they will not be disappointed. I would recommend the chicken, asparagus and wild mushroom cake.

We decided to grab lunch here and we were so happy we did! While the restaurant may not look impressive from the outside, the homemade pie was absolutely delicious. The staff was lovely and very friendly. This pub is also dog-friendly, as they even gave our furry friend some treats. The food that we saw passing by looked incredible. We highly recommend stopping by for a meal, you won't be disappointed. I especially recommend trying the chicken, asparagus, and wild mushroom pie.

I had pate which was delicious and then I had a minted lamb steak which I had never had before and it was scrumptious it came with peas mushrooms salad then potatoes done which ever way you want I had home made chips, the I fitted in a caramel sundae. The night time meal was very good then for breakfast I had a full english breakfast which came with 1 egg 2 rashers bacon, 2 sausages 1 can tomato, mushrooms, baked beans and toast. You can have a pick of cereal and orange juice and tea or coffee. A great start to a day.
