We had a perfect pub lunch with friends. An interesting and unusual menu. Excellent service with good humour and sensibly priced.

Great Sunday roast! We had the Pork Loin and the lamb which we can recommend. They offer options that are also not a Sunday roast if people prefer other dishes.

A thoroughly fantastic and friendly pub serving delicious and well prepared food. Can’t recommend highly enough. Service with a smile throughout and made to feel very very welcome

Went for a meal today… we have been before , but have to say that our meal tonight was the best we have ever had…. I had the chicken dish that I would describe as outstanding… please keep it on the menu, as I will...be back.

Lovely atmosphere in this pub Very dog friendly a few other coupes/families had their dogs inside with them. staff were very friendly and accommodating. We ordered a few side dishes from the menu to pick at as an afternoon snack the cheese...selection from the dessert menu was lovely.

Just like any other pub in the north really. The food was good and the drinks were okay. I was not entirely blown away by it and one of the staff members was a little short with me, but i guess it could have just...been a long day for him. Overall happy with my experience but it was not anything special for the price.

Visiting Tadcaster for football match, checked out pubs at South Milford, as staying at Yorkshire Gateway Hotel. What a charming and warm welcome we had: lovely lady read the blackboards to us, as too far for us to see! And the food was superb, I...had the pork fillets, hubby the steak. One of the best meals I have had in a long time, considering I go out twice a month with friends. Our compliments to you, the chefs and wait staff, a warm Yorkshire welcome. The snakebites were good, and do try the Billionaire shortbread! Hope to call again from the Northeast.

I'm a vegetarian, I've lived in the village for years and despite it being so easy just to jump on the train to leeds you can't beat staying local at the thack. I've enjoyed their food when I ate meat and still do now I...don't. For those who aren't familiar with the thacks menu, it changes monthly and most ingredients /meals are seasonal so each time I go there is a new dish for me to try along with their classics menu if the special doesn't tickle my fancy (which it rarely doesn't). Just returned after visiting with my husband and young children. On arrival we were seated quickly and the place was busy. First time visitors and on seeing food coming out to other tables, we were impressed. Lovely looking home made Yorkshire puddings and we...were all hungry after a family day out shopping and at the cinema and we were all looking forward to a lovely Sunday dinner.
