"A beautiful old dog friendly country pub complete with low beams and open fires. Although it is August it was a cool day and a fire was lit while we were there. Set in the lovely Suffolk countryside. We were made welcome on our arrival and shown our table. A good menu with vegetarian option. For starters my daughter and mysel had pea, bean and herb soup wit croutons and blue cheese, Unusual but very nice. my husband had Duck spring rolls. My husband and myself ordered the double roast (pok and beef) for the main course and our daughter had the fish pie. Served with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and a selection of vegetables. Both meats were cooked to perfection the beef was medium rare and the pork cooked just right, both were very tender. Half the plate was meat lovely thick slices, in fact so much that we asked if we could take what we couldn't eat home with us, it was packed up in a takeaway box for us. The fish pie was full of chunks of fish in a lovely thick sauce with a puff pastry top. We were so full that we couldn't eat a dessert of what looked like a delicious menu. We would definitely recommend the Queens Haead and will be going back. Well done team."

A little gem!!! been going here for years expertly kept beer, log fires and friendly community. the pizzas cooked in there stone oven and steaks from there own butchers are a must

we stopped eating something and were not disappointed. eating is amazing and the atmosphere was how a pub should be. the staff and the locals are super friendly and friendly. one of the best pubs I was in. keep good work

a wonderful old welcoming pub serving the best Sunday dinner. I cannot (not that I want) from the friendly, helpful staff to the perfectly cooked and presented meal (the ale is also good,) it was best and I recommend it very much.

As others have said, this really is the perfect English village pub. Great beer selection, cosy beamed interior and delightful garden with superb views. Just as importantly, the management and staff are all very friendly. And did I mention the beer?

if they ever think that they want a beautiful landspaziergang, followed by a roast by a roaring fire on a Sunday, this is the exact pub they want to come. excellent eating, service fast and friendly, and they seem to keep the front piece of the pub free to drink instead of eating so that the pubby atmosphere is kept. dogs, watch jackets and off-road vehicles.

Great pub for a drink as well as for food. Extensive wine list (especially for a pub) which does not disappoint. Solid Sunday lunch offering and very generous portions. Owners friendly and welcoming and often put on excellent fun events such as wine tastings and for the summer solstice (at least before Covid). Dogs are welcomed in the bar and good space outside as well.
