The Railway Inn - Carta

Although closed at the time, the views of the railway were great and i would recommend this place to any train enthusiasts!

nice pub, with really good food. the special board is worth a good order, and I may ate the best Bakewell tea I've ever had for pudding. will be safe again!

our family of six and dog were most welcomed. all enjoyed their meals, which were served hot, tasty and good value. there is a good grass area next to the river to foot the dog. the road to the inn is narrow and needs a little. Ver carta

Stopped for Sunday lunch on way home from South Wales . Fantastic setting, very friendly and helpful staff. We ordered the roast beef Sunday lunch which was lovely but the highlight for me was the ginger cheesecake best desert I’ve eaten in a long...while. Thank you Sophie x

nice quiet evening, first visit. excellent eating and cozy atmosphere. the personal could no longer have been accommodating and paul the owner was very welcoming and easy to enter the conversation. only what is missing is the pub dog! will definitely return and highly recommend a visit to the viewer.

Small Camper Van Stopover.. This is a great country pub with a small level field next to the river for campers to over night.. Road and Drive are small and steep hence small campers. They are close Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings. but you are still made welcome to park. There is a water tap. The toilets are only open when the pub is open.. You are only welcome to overnight as long as you use the pub, only fare.. I go back to this pub loads of times and now feel like i am part of the place.. fantastic pub we were recommended by a friend to visit, and our jubile seemed like the perfect excuse for a wonder about queenswood park. eating could not be mistaken, was nice homecooked neat English pub grub with a touch of great. the personal was attentive, especially as we had a 1 year old Inw-James, I think his name was; was very kind to help entertain the little girl with coloring and sue the pub-dog. decor was spot on and there are large beer garden on the look for the passing railway line makes them feel, they could really get rid of themselves in a pint in the evening sun here. it codified measures where at the point and made it very relaxed and welcomed. very well and we will be ba...

The restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere and is located right next to the railway line, making it a great spot for train enthusiasts. The trains that pass by are not very frequent and only consist of two cars, making it pleasant for those who are not fans of trains as well. The surroundings are peaceful and offer beautiful scenery to enjoy. Unfortunately, I arrived late and only drinks were being served at that time, so I cannot comment on the food quality. The Coca-Cola served had an off taste, possibly due to the ratio of syrup to water being incorrect. I will give the restaurant another chance and update my review after my next visit to evaluate the food quality and coke ratio. For now,...

My experience at this restaurant for Sunday lunch was exceptional. The staff were friendly and polite, providing quick service without making us feel rushed. The roast pork and roast beef dishes we ordered were delicious and arrived promptly on hot plates. The pork was tender and accompanied by a homemade Yorkshire pudding, cider and thyme gravy, roast parsnips, and roast potatoes. The beef was also tender and served with the same vegetables and a beef gravy. We also enjoyed side dishes of creamy cauliflower cheese and perfectly cooked vegetables.
