"This is one of the best places to eat in Norfolk! The portions are generous, and the food is absolutely delicious. The menu offers a fantastic variety of options, and the staff are all friendly. The owner is wonderful and often goes above and beyond to accommodate guests, even preparing dishes that aren’t on the menu if he can. I absolutely love this restaurant, and so do all the friends we've brought here. Make sure to book ahead to avoid disappointment, as it gets really busy, even during the weekdays!"

Awesome... yes that just about sums up the food here. Very large portions... even for younger children. Great atmosphere in the bar. Friendly, helpful staff. Would highly recommend for a special dinner out.

Can't fault this place. Excellent service consistently. Really well trained staff. Always jolly well presented. The food is also consistently good and portions always on the large size. Even coming here for years have never been disappointed Highly recommended

We went for a Sunday lunch and cannot fault it at all. Very generous portion sizes and incredible cooking makes the prices feel great value! The staff were so friendly and helpful. We sat outside with the dog and he was dead chuffed with his complimentary sausage alongside our roast.

Went here with friends for lunch, the setting is nice and it's clearly a local favourite as it was busy when we saw arrived. The staff were very prompt and helpful. The food was very tasty, personally I thought the portion sizes were large, we all struggled to finish. Would recommend going, just don't eat much before hand Ver carta

If you are booking make sure you book a table early! The food is amazing and very very popular! Staff were very accommodating and managed to get me a table for food. The room was good a little noisy with road traffic. Role top bath looked very nice but wasn't really practical for a shower on a business trip. Bed was very comfy and rooms very clean

I've frequently attended recruitment meetings at this restaurant and I've never had a bad meal. Last Saturday, I reserved a table for 11 to celebrate my 40th birthday, and it was fantastic! The food was excellent, and the service was superb. I truly can't recommend this place enough—it's absolutely top class! Out of all the places I've visited, this one stands out as the best by far!

we were here recently for a few nights that were most fun. the staff was helpful, friendly and polite all around, especially at breakfast, the full English is delicious. the one we had here was decent quality and the amount was right for someone with a good appetit. the room was spacious and immaculate, there are street noise throughout the day, but in the early evening it will be quiet and unnoticed. The restaurant came highly recommended to us some time ago and we've been stopping since for lunch or dinner every time we visited Norfolk. Fantastic selection of dishes to choose from, even for a vegetarian. Hearty portions and great service from really professional and friendly staff. For dog owners- there are some fantastic walks nearby too! We can't fault it and we've already booked a table for our next visit.

After Christmas, I decided to visit this lovely little gem of a restaurant. I had my heart set on trying the seafood tapas after seeing mouthwatering photos on Facebook, but unfortunately, it was lunchtime and the tapas are only served in the evenings. After a bit of persuasion and mentioning that we had traveled from Blackpool, the cook kindly agreed to prepare a dish for us! I'm happy to say we were not disappointed; it was absolutely worth the trip! Thank you! Sincerely, a grateful patron.

"This is Norfolk 's outstanding gem...!!! Quite literally stumbled upon whilst taking a wrong turn, my friend and I decided to have a meal there. Warmly greeted and shown to our table we looked through the wonderful menu. It was an excellent selection full of temptations. I chose steak whilst my friend went with a burger. Both arrived and looked gorgeous, the steak was perfectly cooked and the delicious chips had delightfully fluffy centres. My friends burger beat her, it was a huge portion and even I couldn 't finish off all her fries to help. Midweek we paid another visit in the evening and this time I tried their rather excellent beef lasagne, but this time I allowed myself to indulge in dessert. The homemade chocolate brownie was dreamy, I could easily have had seconds... Lastly I returned on the last night of my holiday and sampled a starter for a change, the utterly divine garlic mushrooms, its sauce not too overpowering so the subtle taste of the mushrooms came through. I followed this with their Gourmet Burger.. what I feast this is..!! Succulent beef patty with ample salad filling and bacon, served with side salad with dressing and fries. Absolutely tremendous!!! I finished with the profiteroles for afters which were the icing on the cake... Each meal was washed down with a bitter shandy (I 'm driving) made from the delightfully named Nanny Goat beer. The staff are exemplary and are happy to accommodate changes to the menu items, but more importantly unlike chain pubs your are not just a table number here, you are a customer and one they will happily dpend time chatting to and getting to know. This alone is worth the five stars even if it wasn 't gor the scrumptious food too. Do yourself a favour, go find this pub, stick on your sat nav or simply get lost down a lane in Skeyton like I did, but do find it.. this place is what pubs should all be like. Charming, rural and giving good custom.."
