Friendly old fashioned pub selling pub meals Lighter bites for lunchtime and normal pub dishes for something bigger. This is a real traditional locals pub and not a fasting pub or chain pub

We called in here to watch the football match and although they were televising it we opted to leave as food wasnt being served that day and it smelt like an old farm landlord was friendly but I felt like I was in an episode of heartbeat from back in the day

Went in here to get something to eat.felt out of place as soon as we walked in the door.asked the guy behind the bar do yo serve food.he replied no we've been away for a week and don't have any food on.so glad really looked like a real gloomy dark hole.would not want to be seen dead in here again.so unwelcoming. Dropped in on the off chance for a quick pint whilst we where on holiday at maes Mawr farm. One pint soon turned into two when the lovely locals took us into all there conversations and made us feel very welcome. Well worth a visit to this cosy little pub with a wonderful barman who made us giggle with his stories. What a little dime of a pub!

After finding this little pub down the road from our holiday, it honestly made our weekend! Land lady and son were so welcoming, made us feel at home straight away. They had the juke box and pool table out and had the euro 2020 final on to make the night. Honestly can’t rate them high enough for there generosity and friendliness Just a shame we won’t ever be there again Best little pub around

My Husband, daughter and I stopped at the Red Lion on a Sunday afternoon travelling through from our holiday, Carole and Paul are lovely people, making us feel very welcome also locals very friendly. Sunday dinner was delicious, homemade roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings, great value for money! Visited last month for Sunday lunch. Lovely atmosphere and 5 star food. I had the beef which was cooked perfectly, served with Yorkshire pud, veg and a large jug of gravy. My husband had the turkey and my mother had the lamb, they said that theirs was cooked perfectly too. Service was very good and we were looked after well. Excellent value for money. We have also tried the home made pizza here too and couldn’t fault. Highly recommended, 5 star all round well worth a visit.

Myself and my wife were recently down for a wedding at Plas Dinam and after struggling to find anywhere to attend for dinner on the previous night we had a stroll into town and found the Red Lion. Good local ales were served. The lack of red wine for my wife was a shame but she was able to drink white wine as we enjoyed chatting to the locals at the bar for hours on end. The landlord then showed us a pizza menu and after ordering he went out his way to Go and make the dough and come out with 2 superb pizzas which went down a treat. A superb establishment run well by a friendly landlord and had the pleasure of sharing some stories with nice locals.

Booked for Mother's Day lunch for a table of three, haven eaten here before on a week day we loved the food and were interested to see what the Sunday roast would be like as we had heard very good feedback. As usual a lovely welcome, spotlessly clean and a great ambience, a lot of regulars which says everything and the food was absolutely delicious, between us we tried the beef and the turkey and the meat melted in your mouth, so many times we've tried roast beef out on a Sunday and have been dissapointed but not here, lot's of lovely veg and loved the cauliflower cheese and gravy, very hearty portions so you won't go hungry.
