Fab opening night , lovely decor and the food was excellent . We went for the early bird menu and the food was really well Presented and tasty . Excellent value for money . Lovely staff and excellent service well Done .

This was our first visit since the new management took over, and we opted for 'The Early Bird Menu.' We were not disappointed! The food was excellent, beautifully presented, and incredibly tasty. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The new decor looks fantastic. We will definitely be back and wholeheartedly recommend it! Ver carta

Meeting up with some friends for a drink and a meal. Two of the meals were very nice (fish and chips, and Lasagna) but the Tuna salad wasn’t great as there wasn’t a great deal of salad and the Tuna was disguised by a massive amount of mayonnaise, but the diner didn’t complain, so we shouldn’t be too critical. Very friendly staff and pleasant enough interior. Service: 5

Just had a fabulous meal at The Red Well Inn at Barney. Mixed Grill was awesome and the Parmo was the tastiest Parmo I have ever had, I think it was the Wensleydale Cheese that gave it that special taste. Definitely worth a visit. Hope people support this new venture it’s just what Barney needed. The staff were very attentive and welcoming. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Didn't stay in the hotel we called into the restaurant for food (so ignore hotel ratings). One of us ordered a mixed grill, and the other ordered a red well burger (steak burger). Service wasn't quick, despite the restaurant being pretty empty. Although the staff were friendly. Plenty of parking spaces outside. Location of restaurant is beautiful as its just within Barnard Castle. Visited because a couple of locals recommended the place, however its unlikely we would ever return for food due to it not being to our particular taste. Ver carta
