We really enjoyed our evening at m. Brasserie and Bar in Guildford. Although a little quiet, the bar and restaurant were really comfortable and welcoming. The food was excellent, we all had courses and everyone's meals were great. The service was friendly too. Overall it was a really good evening and we'd definitely go back.

Was disappointed there was only the set menu available and not the ala carte this wasn’t made clear on booking. The service was very slow, had to ask for drinks twice and for bread twice that still never came. The food was nice. Although we ordered red wine the white wine glasses weren’t replaced with larger red ones. Overall not a great experience

I really enjoyed my evening in the restaurant at m.Brasserie and Bar at the Mandolay Hotel in Guildford. The wine was very reasonably priced, the food was good, the service very good but as it was a Monday evening we were the ONLY people in the restaurant and when I go next time (and I will go again), I will eat in the bar where the ambience, even on a Monday, was not so lonely. Took my girlfriend there for dinner. A smart place, the food was simply outstanding and our table waitress was lovely The bar staff however were different. Firstly they got the drink order wrong and when they brought the second drink practically threw the glass on the table without a word. They also ran into each other sending drinks flying. Also the food took ages to arrive. Fortunately we were in no rush and it was well worth the wait. They had a large table next door to deal with though so I'm sure that was the exception Overall we'll go there again happily.

We visited the restaurant on Valentine's Day. We are not residents of Guildford, so we selected the venue on-line and were not disappointed. The special occasion menu was well presented and of very good quality, featuring octopus carpaccio (something I have not seen in the UK before) and including an extra sorbet course. The dining room was quite full but airy the service was attentive and the restaurant was clean and well laid out. A very good experience overall and worth a visit if you are in Guildford the restaurant is located in the centre of town and easily accessible.

I booked for my birthday meal and requested a booth which we were given which was great. We found the food to be good quality and tasty, but were disappointed with some of the portion sizes and one meal was very overcooked. However when we complained about both points we were given a discount which was appreciated and the staff were very helpful and polite. There was also a lack of desserts and starters available, despite being on the menu, which was disappointing but the staff did offer alternatives. I think they may have had a food delivery issue or something as other friends have said they have always had good food when they've been there, hence me recommending it. Ver carta
