The Retreat - Menú

Great food, great service, wonderful place. We ate here a few times whilst staying on site. The safety and food were both lovely.

Whilst staying at Lodge Nine Finlake we visited the Retreat Restaurant a few times. The food was tasty, hot with a nice variety, and the staff were super helpful. The place was also nice and clean

We visited on Sunday had a delicious Roast dinner, was a really nice surprise there were roasts on offer as nothing on the website menu. Staff were very friendly attentive all in all we were impressed.

Not a massive menu but what they do do they do amazingly. We had hopped to have the carvery but unfortunately they stopped serving that at 4. And we arrived at 5. However what we had instead didn’t disappoint us in anyway.

Had three roast turrkey dinners the three roasta potatoes were the tiniest blackest and awful ive ever been served the sliver of parsnip was also burts.the one slice of turkey tasted nice it laid on top of the burnt items and the watery swede,which was swamped with gravy.however the side of veg was nice.

The Hub Cafe was excellent for breakfasts we had a full English daily, setting us up for the day. The staff were brilliant, super friendly and helpful. The menu selection for breakfast, lunch/dinner were great. There is a small shop at the back of the cafe which sells all the essentials in case you forget or run out of anything. The Retreat Pub Restaurant was great too. This offers a different menu to the Hub and was fresh, hot and tasty. Again fantastic staff.

Finlake Retreat Restaurant is an absolute culinary gem! From start to finish, the dining experience exceeded my expectations. The stylish decor and warm ambiance set the stage for a memorable meal. Was a little unsure to begin with after reading the variety of reviews. One recently classed as a gastronomic delight, another said they served black chips?!? Both are probably too far to the end of the scale, but we had a very pleasant experience. We arrived at Finlake, unpacked and wondered down to the retreat for some food. We hadn’t booked but they found us a table (would suggest booking though as others who arrived later were not able to get a table). Our food came quickly, it was hot and tasty, and the service was great what more can you ask for? My wife and daughter had the pasta, good sized portion and very tasty, my son had battered cod and chips again, excellent, and he devoured it...
