We were planning to visit this restaurant today for a meal as the pictures looked really charming. However, after reading the owner's responses to customer reviews, where they called customers pathetic, we have decided to go elsewhere. It's disappointing to see such behavior from the owner.

We tried the takeaway Sunday roast from the Riverside cafe for the first time today. The beef was excellent and the vegetables, gravy, Yorkshire puddings, and roast potatoes were perfect. We saved the pigs in blankets for tomorrow! Overall, we give it a 5-star rating for food, service, and atmosphere.

I ordered a beef roast dinner for takeout for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The meal was still hot when I arrived home and was delicious and filling. The portion size was generous and came with plenty of gravy. I would definitely recommend this place as it offers good value for money. The food is really nice and homemade. It’s close to my place, so went there with my bf few times already, never left disappointed. The people there are nice and polite, always ask you if everything is fine. Before I write any review I always order/go to a place at least few times, so I know that what I’m saying is actual and valid. This is definitely a consistent place with nice food and good service. Wish tables were a bit higher, as I’m a tall person but yeah, definitely recommend

We popped in here whilst visiting Radstock for the day and boy we were so pleased we did. They didn't have a table immediately available but offered to keep us the next free one. The staff including the owner were so helpful and friendly and the service was excellent. We had a toastie sandwich and a baked potato, both came with a lovely fresh salad and were very tasty. Large portions and reasonably priced. Would recommend this cafe highly and I'm just sad we won't be able to return in the near future. Thank you for a lovely lunch.

Lovely place to get some food or a nice hot coffee. We phoned in advanced and asked if it's busy or not and the guy was very polite and allowed us to reserve seating too. We got there and it was all ours for a few minutes, but the 2 staff members we saw were so very welcoming and kind to us both. Delicious coffee and lovely food. We had battered cod, chips and peas Sausage, mash and onion gravy with veggies. The location is very pretty with a nice and cozy interior. We enjoyed our visit and will be returning customers.
