Great pub in a beautiful area of Essex with many excellent public walks nearby. Good beer, a large garden and good, inexpensive food. Go for a walk, then finish with a PInt and some dug know that you deserve it.

A great little cozy pub to spend a sunny Sunday and watch the time to fly. Has a beautiful decor and charm over the place, beautiful to see the horses going on the street, a good beer garden also, and some really nice real beer on tap and a perfect pint of Guinness! A great pub. We've been here for a few years. Beautiful old pub interior with wooden floors and beams and flawless beer garden with plenty of seating. The landlord always has a few real ales and ciders on tap that regularly change and a good selection of gins and vodka shots. Very recommended for a nice relaxing drink in a beautiful environment.

What a lovely pub. So quaint food is delicious. Owners are very friendly. There's a pool table too! Parking is great. They have lots of outdoor seating too, obviously not for this time of year but will be great in the summer. Only thing I would say is they don't have a massive selection of bottled wines, the standard size I mean. Apart from that, very nice indeed

After a walk at Paper mill lock, we headed up the road to find this pub. It's a lovely looking pub set in a big garden. Inside is even more impressive with beams and low ceilings. We were met by a friendly landlord and lots of locals. It's a cosy little space around the bar, so we jostled in and chose drinks. At least the ales on tap, lots of other beers and ciders. Their speciality seems to be a Vodka list that takes up a full page of A4. The beers were lovely, plus the selection of crisps and Scratchings kept us all happy. A very pleasant way to spend an hour on Saturday afternoon. We'll definitely be going back. Parking: Loads of parking and space for getting in and out of the place. Big... Ver carta
