"A great welcoming local pub with fantastic food and lovely vibe. We were a party of 5 and went primarily for a few drinks, but thought we 'd try a few starters. We were so glad we did Everything was delicious, and even the salad was lovely. Not just something pulled out of a bag and thrown next to the food, but lovely in of itself. The coated crispy prawns were perfect and crisp yet not 'greasy ' at all. The pate was lovely with the onion chutney Literally all the individual elements added to the overall meal and were tasty all by themselves. Leek and Stilton soup Perfect. It was all so nice we ordered mains a good while later too. All of them arrived piping hot and were so delicious. We were not rushed, but instead allowed to simply relax and chat and then order from the lovely staff when we were ready. There was a good crowd of 'regulars ' but unlike other local bars there was no feeling of it being a closed clique We felt just like any other regular as soon as we walked in. We met one of the owners (Shannon? who introduced herself and made sure we were having a lovely evening Which we were! All in all, it was everything you 'd hope a local pub would be if it was doing everything right, which the team here clearly are. Thank you for a wonderful evening, and now we 've found you we will certainly be back!"

This old friend is growing very shabby and the toilets are pokey and dirty. The food was pretty average .

We visited for lunch on Xmas Eve. 10 adults and 6 children. Excellent service, great food, a real local gem and worth visit.

Seven of us called in after a visit to Harry Potter world not far away. Great, attentive service, good range of drinks; food good value and excellent quality. When next in area we will be back!

This pub is boasting with popularity and so it should , set in a beautiful location , a warm welcome by fantastic staff and food is exceptional . I personally think they make the best omelette I have ever eaten, today was a reminder I need to go more often Ver carta

As it was a Sunday, we had the raist lamb and the roast chicken. (There are other dishes available on a Sunday) Both were cooked very well and were lovely. Plenty of veg, roast potatoes, and gravy. Very good value for money and reasonably priced. Nice, friendly staff. Well worth a visit.

We like this pub for the odd lunch… however… The prices are going up and I’m really not sure that they are warranted. I now avoid the main meals and tend to stick to the baguettes with chips which are good value for money. But £16 at lunchtime for a burger is just a couple quid north of acceptable imho. No lunch menu or offers. Just looking to fleece the local millionaires I guess?!
