beautiful traditional decor prices for drinks are somewhat steep, but they serve eating that is good, they also have no drinks menu

eating presentation was exceptional, taste was delicious. if I were rich, this would be 5 stars, but because I wasn't to double the cost of a standard lunch.

We stopped by for cocktails before dinner at Claridge's nearby. The cozy upstairs pub rooms had slick service and delicious cocktails, although we were disappointed to find that they did not offer a specific type of cocktail.

Wondered into this Kentucky Derby themed cocktail bar by chance as it's tucked away above The Running Horse Pub. The transformation of the room is splendid (was once a regular meeting room), the service was exemplary and the julep cocktails were very tasty indeed. A great little find I can't wait to invite my friends to Mayfair so they can enjoy it too.

I had to plan a last-minute farewell gathering and The Whip exceeded all expectations. The venue was fantastic with ample space for our group of 20. We ordered food on short notice and it was a perfect complement to our drinks. The staff during the event were outstanding. We felt extremely well taken care of overall. Found this little gem of a cocktail bar after dinner downstairs at the Running Horse pub it's amazing! The cocktails are delicious, the staff super friendly and the atmosphere is very cool. Vintage furniture and modern jazz music mixed in with old classics make for a very fun evening. Bar food looked tasty too going to have to come back for that. Definitely worth a trip upstairs for an evening drink!

Squirrelled away above The Running Horse, the oldest pub in Mayfair, is a speakeasy style, Kentucky Derby themed cocktail bar. There's a shabby chic mix of interesting and comfy furniture and brightly coloured jockey silks adorn the walls. The staff here really know their stuff, they are walking menus, very professional, warm and friendly and clearly love what they do. The signature cocktails are the juleps which are served in metal julep cups with metal strainers instead of straws. A really original serving of a classic drink made very, very well.
