The burger and gammon meals at this restaurant were absolutely delicious. The portions were generous and the staff was very friendly. We also enjoyed entertainment by a ukulele group, which added to the fabulous atmosphere of the place.

The roast beef and nut roast with trimmings were excellent. The cauliflower cheese and vegetables were superb. The beer was delicious. The service was good and the locals were friendly, creating a great atmosphere. Prices were reasonable - a Sunday roast and 3 pints cost £51.40. Ver carta

We enjoy supporting local businesses and have had enjoyable meals at this pub in the past. However, when we recently stopped in for a drink and ordered a Pimms and lemonade, we were disappointed to find that there was no fruit or mint included like at other places. My wife did not finish her drink. The pub needs to improve their Pimms by adding in the necessary ingredients.

I made a reservation at the Salterton Arms and left my contact number in advance. However, upon arrival, I was informed that the kitchen was closed. Disappointed with their service, I decided to dine at the Saddlers Arms instead, where they were very accommodating and even offered us a discount on our meal. I will not be booking with the Salterton Arms again after this experience.

Sunday roast dinner was very nice, plenty of veg and cauliflower cheese. The beef burger was very nice too. The staff were very welcoming. The place is clean. My only recommendation would be the outside front and back needs a bit of TLC, maybe this would be a future project but don't let this turn you away.
