"This Bistro Pub has recently been taken over by a Brewery and has been rebranded as The Fulham Arms. The interior has been completely renovated and looks much more appealing. I stopped by on a Sunday for a pint of their delicious draft ale and was impressed by the bustling atmosphere and the attentive staff. Later in the week, I had a business lunch with an important colleague and was disappointed to find that we were the only patrons dining. The menu had a great selection and our main course was outstanding. The service was friendly and efficient, and as long as the food quality remains consistent, I plan on returning regularly. I just hope that their meals are prepared in-house and not reheated from an external source."

We had the most amazing mussels and the seafood was exceptional. This meal was one of the best we've had in a while.

If service wasn't so dismal, I would have rated this place a perfect 5, however having to ask for water multiple time was tiring.

Great as a pubHas friendly service, good drinks, and nice front garden seating Gets very busy on weekend nights. Ok as a restaurant.

Brilliant staff, quality food and drinks! The ambience is very typical of a neighbourhood pub. The quiz night can be quite busy so if you like a bit of fun, I’d suggest you book in advance! Don’t forget to try to famous scotch eggs!

Nicest meal I've had for ages. Ceasar salad with chicken was really tasty. Well cooked chicken, fresh anchovied, lovely egg, crisp lettuce but too cold. Great chips and smashing ice cream including coffe which is not easy to get. Disappointing that the cask ale was not on. Nice loos,

Went to meet my son for lunch. Fairly unremarkable food. Service very slow, pub was not busy! Had to ask for main as took exceptionally long to come. Food arrived with insect on garnish ! Management were not remotely concerned about delay or unwelcome addition to the main. Will not be returning. Ver carta

The Sands End has been by local for 18 years. I have tried and tried in the past year to keep giving it a go after too many bad experiences. But have to say. The business has just crashed and almost burned. Long gone are the days of a packed Sands End pub daily. Now it’s virtually empty. You can see why! Grumpy, uninterested staff. Expensive drinks. And shockingly bad frozen food! It is a huge shame as I have been a regular for to long. But unforgivable constant bad experience! Someone needs to do something to get this legend of a place, back to the talk of the town!! It can’t be that hard??

Not a place for solo travellers. They do not welcome solo diners. Go figure!?!? I 've certainly never known anything like it before. Given that they are very much a minority, I won 't feel like a second class citizen who doesn 't deserve to eat! My review was initially rejected by TA as 'not being relevant to travellers ', so have attached the following screenshot incase I wasn 't trusted. Booking direct on the Sands End website was also exactly the same as this, but did not make such a clear screenshot. As for being relevant, if there are times you especially need to know what you 're getting into, one of them is as a solo traveller.
