We throughly enjoyed our dinner last night! We stayed at the holiday inn just over the motorway and looked around for somewhere better to eat than the hotel restaurant, and feel very lucky that we chose to come here! Everything was fantastic…. The food, the service, the wine, the decor and the ambience. So good infact that we’ve even said we would make the 100 mile round trip from home to come back again! Thankyou for a lovely evening

What a wonderful place. We enjoyed a fabulous meal in great surroundings. The schoolhouse has really eclectic decor with some great artwork. The staff were attentive without being over the top. There was a good selection across the menu. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We were impressed with the prices for the quality of the food. Highly recommend and will be back. Poormenu is limited. The staff are all lovely but inexperienced. We have eaten at this establishment previously and had been very disappointed on that occasion. In our opinion things have not improved, we both chose the crab linguini, we expected it to be fresh tasting creamy and light, it was the total opposite, gloopy and dry with ‘crunch’ the chef seems to add pancetta to every meal! This gave the impression that we were crunching through crab shells! Not a nice experience. We felt the quality of the crab to be poor, so much so, my partner suffered gastrointestinal symptoms for the rest of the evening! We will not be eating here again.
