Welcoming staff (we hadn't booked that's advisable if you want a restaurant table). Very helpful with a strong customer focus. Good food with a different twist. Good beers. Thanks a great, memorable experience.

Fantastic pub with great atmosphere. Love the quirky items around the pub. Food was excellent as always. Really like that the children’s menu as it isn’t just fish fingers, sausages etc. our daughter loves the fish stew. Lovely mocktails and presented nicely.

fantastic pub! probably one of the best independent place to drink and eat everywhere in Britain. frequent changing beer, ales, lemons and excellent eating. brilliant beer garden directly at the waterway from the back. not much from the front, but fantastic decoration inside and friendly staff.

This is an outstanding pub with delicious meals and excellent service. I haven't encountered any issues here and I would highly recommend it to everyone. The band was fantastic, offering a great selection of songs. I definitely suggest this place to all. Rating: Rooms: 5, Service: 5, Location: 5.

It's always a pleasure to dine here. The experience has a level of class and style that surpasses the typical carvery or restaurant. The large bar is well-stocked and frequented by locals, and there's often live music. The snail and mushroom starter stole the spotlight; we highly recommend it to everyone! Ver carta

During our stay, we visited The Sheppey, which is conveniently located right across the street. We were warmly greeted by the friendly staff and decided to sample some local craft beers, which were fantastic. Despite several large groups being present that night, the service was quick. Our meals, the dirty burger and fish stew, were both delicious.

We had a wonderful lunch at The Sheppey today. My partner tried a new dish on the menu, duck breast, which was absolutely divine. We both enjoyed the pan-fried mackerel, which was fantastic. The staff were very nice and friendly. Our dog was warmly welcomed and was even given a bowl of water when we arrived. Thank you very much; we look forward to our next visit!

Stayed at a B&B close by, needed somewhere to eat. Was surprised to see the difference to interior to exterior design. Lovely open area to sit, fairy lights on ceiling in one room, an assortment of ornaments on shelves in another. Very friendly, helpful staff. Good choice of food, though slightly expensive. Lovely beer battered fish and chips. Nice range of cider. The added bonus was they accepted dogs into the pub/restaurant, which several others also attended. Exterior could do with a ‘makeover’ to match interior. Ver carta
