"This country pub is a shining example of excellence. The locals and staff are warm and welcoming, with genuine smiles all around. First time I 've written a second review anywhere ; this pad is worth this. I can add consistency to the quality of food right the way through the menu sampled thus far ; top notch. The food was okay, but rice was uncooked, but the owner told us when we complained that it was cold and uncooked. She stated that it was a special crispy rice and that it is how it should be. I am Asian and have been cooking rice for 40 years, Perhaps I would have a better idea of how rice should be cooked, having cooked many many types of rice in those many years. This said the calves' liver was wonderful and well prepared. Price per person: £20–30

It took us 18 months to finally visit this restaurant, even though we live just 5 minutes away. This charming country pub has a loyal customer base. The food is excellent quality and reasonably priced. We tried the 5 for £30 tapas deal and were delighted with our choices. Most of the dishes were homemade and generously portioned. I can't wait to go back and sample more of their menu, and perhaps get to know the staff better. Overall, the average cost per person ranges from £20 to £30.
