"We decided to try Soho Oak for a meal while traveling between East England and South Wales, as we enjoy Desi food pubs. After trying two others, we settled on this pub based on reviews. The parking lot was full and many cars were parked on the street side. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful atmosphere, decor, and numerous attentive employees. We were greeted by a friendly young lady and had to wait about 10 minutes for a table, but were able to enjoy drinks from the bar in the meantime. The poppadoms, curries, naans, and rice were all delicious, and we even took home some leftovers from the generous portions. The restaurant was bustling with Punjabi families and young people enjoying themselves. After our meal, the manager came by to chat, which was a nice touch. We will definitely be back, especially with our daughter who also loved it. - Mick, Ali, and Lily."

It's like a Tardis. Not very appealing from the outside but it is superb inside. So modern and clean. The menu is 95% Indian food (which was fine with us A good selection of beers too. Yummy food (see pic). What a gem for West Bromwich. Ver carta

Went to the Soho Oak on Tuesday evening....a few in there but not too busy. Good range of beers. Food was nice.... I like a bit more mint sauce than you get but the waiter was more than happy to get extra. Service was good too. Definitely recommend a trip. Ver carta

This restaurant is a hidden gem with beautiful modern interior. Despite its small exterior, it is actually quite spacious inside. I only had drinks during my visit, but my friend who is a regular here had a delicious looking meal. The prices are reasonable and the service is friendly. If this restaurant was in a more central location, it would be fully booked every day!

"The food is really enjoyable. Some of the meat can be a bit dry in parts but generally speaking it's quite good. Is it better than what you'd get at the average chippy? Not for what it costs. Ordering two box meals and a couple of sides got the cost up to £50 with charges. Considering a large mixed meat in naan at my local chip shop is £7, it's incredibly expensive. There's far too much waste which really needs to be addressed. Every food item is at least two layers of packaging deep. With a box meal you have the outer corrugated cardboard box, then all dividers inside, then the kebab sandwich is in a box of its own, then it's in a foil wrapper, then it's in a paper wrapper. It's all needless waste and when we're all trying to be more conscious of our carbon footprint this just isn't required. There are some nice things that just aren't replicated elsewhere, their kebab bread is fantastic and very similar to a traditional Turkish pide. Their sauces are really good too. Full of flavour and balanced well with the meat but I will say there's never enough of it. Three little poxy pots is all you get.The fries are average. Nothing remarkable about them. The spicy fries are a tasty addition but this option does bump up the price but again, perfectly average.Overall I'd recommend that it's worth trying at least once but the prices are way over valued and quantity in some areas lack. If they cut down on all the needless packaging they could even bring the prices down but £15-20 for a box meal (one can of pop, one kebab sandwich, one fries and two spring rolls) it's a bit of a joke."
