"was only tonight for a meal and was excellent as always. chips are made too home and tasty, the bark meat and the ale cake was to die, the Moroccan lamb spring rolls were so freshly tasting. I'd like to have that as a main course. my dads pork in Satay sauce was also beautiful and my moms fish, the teig was so light, excellent. and the chocolate cake was from this world. big bass beer, good service and all for £25 a head with drinks can not blame. when they will go regularly, they will come to the VIP Club it pays for themselves with the drinks and shadows they receive."

Really nice atmosphere in a lovely building and very nice staff. Came with 80 year old grandparents who all really enjoyed their dinners. Food was really nice, the beef pie was my choice and was so tasty. Portion size was really good too.

Lovely place and good atmosphere. Comfortable seating. Burgers we had were very peppery to taste. Good triple cooked chips. Lattes good. Pint not so much. Great parkin and ice-cream. Great cheesecake too! Overall would come back and give it another go:

Beautiful/pub restaurant, just over, but looked really nice, so considered a pint. part of the property dates back to the 17th century. I didn't try the restaurant, so I can't comment. well maintained in history, with a love inglenook nodded fireplace in bar area.

Never been before but heard good things so we booked for a late lunch as a couple. Absolutely beautiful food, gorgeous modern light airy interior, staff were attentive and polite. Probably the best mix grill I’ve ever had. Beautiful presented and tasty good quality ingredients. We will be back very soon!

this stafford arm is located in the charming village bagnall. the restaurant is stylish and the waitresses were excellent and informed us about the specials for the day and were very attentive, without being clear. the menu was extensive and many good decisions. I had the blade of the bark that was raised. a round hidden gem

"Our room faced the front of the hotel, and while the village was quiet with only two pubs and a small corner store, it seemed to be a shortcut for heavy vehicles speeding downhill at night, with headlights constantly illuminating our room. We also found out that the hotel closes in the evening if it's not busy, and the front door may be locked as early as 10 PM, requiring a code for re-entry. The internet service was poor; even standing just outside the front door, I had no reception and couldn't call the emergency numbers posted there. It appears that the quality of the rooms varies significantly, with some having been upgraded while others are less desirable, including our own. When we questioned our bill because we didn't think the room was worth £140, we were told that since we had booked through Charming Escapes, we should take it up with them, as the hotel receives only a fraction of what we paid. This made us feel like second-class guests, especially since it seemed we were stuck in a low-quality room. The standard rate for a double room is £90, and if I were to rate our experience like on the TV show "Four in a Bed," I would say £50 a night would have been generous. Previous reviews also mentioned an issue with the door handle and the ability to lock the room, which had not been fixed. If you’re just looking for a place to dry off your hiking boots, this hotel might suffice, but I wouldn't recommend staying here again. It has a lot of potential, and thankfully, we had a wonderful evening at The Devonshire Arms just across the street—it felt like a whole different experience. It seems the staff at Charles Cotton have simply given up."
