Food seems to have changed to the worse and prices higher. A bit dissapointing as I used to go there often.

We absolutely love this place! Great music and atmosphere. Lovely staff. Wide range of beers and ciders available. And amazing vegetarian and vegan options available.

Great venue and great garden let down by the extortionate pricing. Two non-alcoholic pints of lager and two 250ml glasses of Merlot came to a hefty £28.90. Glasses were left on the table all night long. Ver carta

The rudest member of staff from the moment we walked in. No hello and overall rude with a chip on her shoulder. Disgusting service. Wouldn’t recommend. Such a shame as heard fairy good things about this pub.

Just been for lunch at the Stag with daughters in Mediterranean-style sunshine. Couldn’t have been better. Food excellent. Service classy. Garden sublime. This is a family run outfit who really seem to care. Thank you.

Poor food, prices extortionate caesar salad with chicken and bacon £17 ! Seriously? The standards have dropped massively. Nothing special , we were attacked by wasps and couldn't finish our meal but its ok cause it was not very good anyway. Shame… Ver carta

Had a great dinner/birthday with friends from all over. Not been here for ages. Food was amazing. I had the beef rib. Excellent. Also what a lovely team here. So on it friendly. Best place in this area by a mile. Love the cocktails, some top beers as well. Love the music old pub vibes. So london so good!! Thank you to the team there x

I have to say that I was surprised at the negative reviews for the Stag. We were visiting for an event in London and our lunch last weekend will probably be the only time we frequent it. We wanted a light lunch (just a couple of starters) with wine and a soft drink and the food and service were exemplary. We had an ideal table in the shade and all of our interactions with staff were first-rate.

Had a brilliant roast dinner last Sunday for my partners birthday. We were a large party, seated outside in the garden and we weren't once forgotten about! The service was absolutely perfect and from the table. Isaac especially made such a huge effort to help with any little request to celebrate the birthday, really great service from him!!
