"I came from a long morning of hiking around the Roseland to sit in the sun and have a drink and some lunch only to be told no food outside. (Missing trick there) then they told about another 20 people that came in after me the same. Apparently no staff to run food outside. It was 17C and a gorgeous day. A shame. I ordered the roast which was all they serve on a Sunday. I wanted something lighter but decided on the roast beef. It came out quickly and lots of everything. Infact too much for me to finish. The beef was very very rare, which I don’t mind but wouldn’t cut easily. The table was uneven and I couldn’t eat anything without my plate wobbling and clanking all over the place. I feel the roast wasn’t worth £25 especially for the fatty cut of beef I had. Food was good. Service was abit iffy, I waited by the bar to be acknowledged and seated for a long time. Ate here October 23 Small menu however the food that I ordered and saw being served was top notch Not cheap but what is nowadays. My only disappointment was no local dark beer in tap Will definitely be back Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We popped in for lunch on a lovely sunny day. Great location and pub garden. Food choice was fairly limited for vegetarians (looked like there was more options for Dinner). Steak roll was very good. Outstanding. We were recommended to visit here on our arrival in Portscatho and the team squeezed us in without a booking just in time for a fantastic dinner. A great pub atmosphere, ambience is lively but cosy. Food is incredible and reasonably priced, good choice of beers and everything served neatly and by friendly staff. Very impressed.
