"We used to go to Whittaker's every weekend when visiting Brentwood,and used to recommend it ,it was always expensive,but it was good food and good service,but for the last few months it is going down hill fast! As soon as you go in now ,and...eventually noticed,we are told it will be ,or minutes wait for food,at this point many customers leave. This has happened every time we visit,so we ordered coffee,when we would have ordered food for four people,well we waited,and waited, for a coffee ,after twenty minutes I went up to the kitchen,and was told it's coming,where from Brazil!!!!!! And then nothing! Caught a waitresses eye and asked again,then we got it,and then told if we were not eating could we be quicker as there were people waiting!!!!! Anyone sitting down was told it was a long wait,so most left! That's money walking out the door! And they didn't seem to care! We discovered the reason for this terrible service,a buy came in with a massive deliveroo bag and left after ten minutes with a massive bag of food, they are now doing delivery and making the deliveroo a priority !!!!! They might think they are making a good living out of this,but the people actually there are money too! And paying extra for the privelidge of eating in. It cost more to eat i than take out! And the last time we were there,they lost our custom,so that was four,we saw another three leave,a other group of four,a couple,and that's customers ,and the as thing was no one from Whittaker's asked the people why they were going,or attempt to sort the problem out. We were sitting by the door and as it opened other customers were calling out don't bother again no staff were Interested. This cafe is packed in , more and more tables,with no room to get up or down from your table without backing Into other people,and nearly sitting on their laps. Not going back ,now they are doing deliveroo, actual customers who want to eat,are getting a very poor service. They have lost our custom for good,"

"I ordered a takeaway from this curry house as they had good reviews. Placed an order online and it was ready to collect after about 15 mins. Took it home to eat. This was the worst curry I have ever had. I ordered 2 different curries one was supposed to be mild to medium the other a medium. They both tasted of nothing and were floating with the ghee (yellow fat they were cooked in). Tasted absolutely disgusting, no one was in the restaurant maybe that was a sign of how bad it was. I will not be returning and will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone. Very disappointing. Stay away do not waste your money at that restaurant. All it was good for was the bin."

"This is my second time giving a one-star review. I decided to review this place and brought a friend along with me because I heard it was a great spot for Thai food. I'll keep this brief. We went for lunch and there was only one other couple there. We ordered a bottle of New Zealand white wine but received a bottle of cheap white wine instead. When I mentioned this, the waiter said it was all they had. I asked the waiter for food recommendations but he couldn't suggest anything. We ordered four dishes and each one came out warm and quickly. I requested fresh chilis but was given sweet chili sauce instead. The waiter never checked on us during our meal and instead sat watching something on his laptop. Overall, I was very disappointed with this place, especially after reading the great reviews."

"After booking 6 or more weeks ago for a family dinner for my boyfriends 21st I am totally appalled by the service we had experienced. When we arrived, the table was not even laid out. We had made several complaints due to it being so cold where we was seated and due to the fact we had a newborn baby and a 4 year old. When the drinks orders had come out, these were completely messed up and had to chase up the correct drinks. When our starters arrived, after having to chasing up bread and dips also, we requested the 4 year olds children’s meal to be brought out with starters which this never happened, after being chased up we recieved nothing. She was starving. After 2 hours waiting for simply our main meals, we had been told there has been some confusion with orders and was given 2 meals that belonged from the table behind. We didn’t think anything of this before we was told and they started eating. They had then finished both meals and we was still waiting. We was totally disappointed and had totally ruined our 21st birthday celebrations."

"If you want good food,quick service then this place definitely is worth the visit. The staff welcome you with smiles and kindness always. The menu is vast and every dish is freshly prepared to your requirements. The venue is spacious and always spotlessly clean. From breakfast right through to main meals each dish is presented to high standard. Cannot fault anything about coming here which is generally is now 2-3 times a week."
