The Star Anise Arts Cafe

Poor service. Half the lunch time menu had run out before 1 pm, and they had run out of many bottles of soft drinks.

Took the parents who were visiting (non vegetarians) and all had a lovely healthy lunch, great touch that you can grab a wine or cider with it too

Lovely veggie cafe. We were (regrettably) too late for lunch but had delicious soup and promised ourselves we’d return for breakfast or lunch, both of which looked really interesting. Ver carta

Didn't process the order so waited 45 mins for no food. Zero covid care in the kitchen area with the staff. No masks and 2cm away from each other. Heard its good there but didn't see it.

Had an excellent lunch here. Great choices for veggies and vegans. Lovely seating outside with sone nice shade on a very hot day. Very excited to have found this cafe. We will definitely eat here again

This is one of my favorite places to eat and have a coffee in Stroud. The food here is truly homemade from the best ingredients. The cafe goes to great lengths to use their macrobiotic cooking ethos to deliver healthy and hearty meals. They are always happy to accommodate a multitude of dietary requirements. Ver carta

LOVED this cafe ! Busy but in a nice way which is a good sign. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating; we sat outside and plenty of space around our table and nice setting. The coffee was good but the pastries were AMAZING! We had pain au raisin and an almond croissant. The smells coming from the kitchen were divine.

Three of us had a Burrito Bowl (Special), a Hummus Platter and a Japanese Salad Box. All freshly made and full of different flavours. Would definitely go back. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the time it took to get our food. Almost an hour! However, it wasn't a problem for us as we were having a catch-up with our Granddaughter over lunch.

Coffee was good. Food not as described. Mushrooms on toast consisted of we past their best mushrooms (very black) rock hard butter and toast on the side. So not mushrooms on toast. Whole place could do with attention to details, table was sticky, overall I was disappointed with level of cleanliness. Staff rather indifferent, lady on the till very welcoming but after that???
