"We are fortunate to have Rations located less than half a mile from our home. Despite the name conjuring up thoughts of shortages from the World War II era, Rations in Thornton is far from that. The standout item at breakfast is the Rations breakfast box, which includes two sausages, two strips of bacon, two eggs, black pudding, beans, mushrooms, and two slices of toast. The portion is generous and absolutely delicious. There are also various options for barmcakes and batons to choose from. At lunchtime (or any time of day), the sandwiches are made with either barmcakes or batons and are filled to the brim. From cold meats, fish, and prawns to hot beef with onions and turkey with stuffing, there is a sandwich for everyone's taste. Additionally, they offer panini as well. The experience is complete with crisps, soda, and delightful homemade cakes. If you find yourself in the area, make sure to stop by Rations on Fleetwood Road. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Absolutely fantastic - 6 stars!"

"I recently discovered this restaurant and I must say it was a fantastic find. The food was great and there was a good variety to choose from. The staff were also very lovely. I appreciated how they were aware of my husband's Parkinson's disease and made thoughtful accommodations to make our visit even more enjoyable. The Sherry trifle dessert was a nostalgic treat, reminding me of my Gran's homemade version but with larger portions. I highly recommend giving this place a try next time you're in the area."

"We have had two meals here, lunch which was excellent and the Christmas menu which was disappointing. The lunch was superb and was our first visit, we had baguettes with salad and chips and they were delicious with plenty of filling. the pub is a proper pub with tables tucked away and very cosy. We booked christmas lunch of this basis and brought some friends and were disappointed. Not with the standard of the food which was good but that half of the menu was not available, specifically the bits we wanted!! It has not put us off eating there but we would think again on a special night"

"Visiting grandchildren in cleveleys I had some time free and went to the oldest pub in Fleetwood, the Steamer. My Grandad must have gone there decades ago when he was a trawler captain. Lively karaoke in the bar. And a nice. Separate restaurant Staff were very welcoming and friendly, service was excellent and the food was great, really lovely. During the meal I was surprised by the restaurants owner, Syd Little, appearing and making a point of talking to everyone. When Syd realised I was from Bristol we had a chat about Eddie, and wishing him very good health. Lovely to meet and chat to someone who entertained and gave me so much pleasure over many years, and the food was lovely. I’d recommend the restaurant to anyone living in or visiting Fleetwood"

"Our family have been going to this little family -run- gem for over 30yrs, when my parents were alive. We come over from Morecambe as often as we can. The quality never varies, always excellent VGVM. If I said the tender roast beef was the best in the North West, I would be doing them a dis-service. It is wonderful, you do not need a knife it is so tender, and always a very generous portion. The staff are friendly and efficient, and the place is immaculate spotlessly clean.
