Waited over a hour for our food to arrive, I ordered a steak medium, I’ve never had a steak that’s pink and tough before. Staff was friendly on a brighter note

Such a long wait today for meals, not normally this bad. Meal finally arrived not hot. Such a shame. Great place lovely atmosphere. Bit of a let down on this occasion Ver carta

Service was absolutely appalling pre booked meal and still took over a hour for food to come out had no table Service to ask if we required any more drinks not even a apology for slow service was a shame as went to celebrate a birthday after a couple of very good meals beforehand

Had Sunday lunch here. The place was busy but we got shown to our table quickly. The waitresses were all very attentive. They menu is traditional roasts. As well as a great Al a carte menu. Great fresh veg and homemade Yorkshire puds . I am looking forward to our next visit already .

Service was a complete joke ' 20 minutes before we even got asked if we wanted a drink ' one hour 20 minutes until we got our dinner and it was not cooked correctly ' didn 't have dessert left feeling really let down ' will never go again ' 1st and last visit ' sort it out poorly run ' worst restaurant I 've ever been to ' got my dessert at tesco Ver carta

Arrived on time for a 1.00pm reservation, 3 adults, 2 young children. Friendly greeting but were told there would be a half hour wait for food. The food arrived at 2.00pm by which time the children had understandably become very restless. The food was fine except my wife's portion of sea bass was very small. There was no apology for the delay in delivery of our meals.

I’ve eaten at The Sun Inn on a couple of occasions and the food has always been excellent. Mother’s Day however was a different story. £39.95 for three courses!! The potatoes were hard and not roasted properly. The cauliflower cheese was but on top and watery liquid in the bottom of the dish. The gravy was like water. The custard was cold. The service was excellent and that’s the only reason we didn’t complain.

We had our wedding reception at this gorgeous pub yesterday afternoon and they were fantastic! Lou and the whole team were amazing and we can’t thank them enough! Massive thank you to Lou herself for helping us set it all up the night before, the place looked amazing! The food there is beautiful especially the pies!! Will definitely be back every anniversary and plenty more times in between!! Thank you so much for everything Ver carta
