"we are so glad that we have booked this pub for lunch as stop on our walk along the ridgeway at one of the wettest days in the year. the greeting was fantastic and the renter fired a fire to dry our tired bones. the lunch was great with a very varied menu with many veggie options. great service without hanging around waiting for much needed eating and a good pint! thank you."

This restaurant has been very quiet as it was closed for a few years. The beer was good before, and now they have a cook. I'm sure the dining experience will improve soon.

We went for a meal and we really impressed. We had a 3 course meal but I couldn’t finish my crumble as I was to full. The flavours were amazing and we will definitely be going back. Complements to the chef.

very friendly. good eating to reasonable trips and good selection of dressed for vegetarians. wife very impressed by Dessert menu. no problem to park the residential property over night in the parking lot, but the village is surprisingly busy, although it is bypassed by the a34.

We parked our camper in the car park and decided to stop by for a few drinks and a snack. The bar was charming, the camembert was delightful, and the staff and patrons were very friendly. The cleanliness measures for COVID were well taken care of, and the establishment was very welcoming to dogs.

The staff at this restaurant were very welcoming and the food was excellent, all cooked fresh. We arrived for lunch after a long journey with a puppy and a baby, and they were very accommodating and helpful. The vegetarian pie was delicious and my husband loved the fresh scampi. We would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

the oldest (medium-age) pub and gasthof in the old schafmarkt village ost ilsley. large traditional pub well cooked with a selection of Eastern cuisine to perfection. large selection of drinks, friendly staff, always busy, needs to be booked! popular with the local, a few rooms to rent, a sitting area in free, a great place to visit!
