"My favourite thing about this restaurant is not only the food but the interior! I love the vibe and atmosphere. Visited for my Grandads birthday and I would definitely visit again. The food was delicious especially the pizza. The pizza oven was in view so you could watch how fresh the food was which (in my opinion) reassures me that I am getting top quality food. Would highly recommended their pizzas. Definitely a family friendly restaurant, but also perfect for a couple because of the romantic and rustic aesthetic. Really great beer garden which I’d love to visit in the summer. The staff were very helpful and friendly, when I saw other reviews the service and staff didn’t get rated very well. But in my experience the service was quick and friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant whether you are visiting as a couple or a family. Also has plenty of parking. The only thing that was a downside for me was the small menu, there wasn’t much to choose from especially if you are a picky eater."

Lovely place. Nice food. Great outdoor space. ONLY ISSUE is the MUSIC. Heavy metal very very loud. Needs to be more subtle. Left with a headache. Shame.

Lovely pub,lovely village But overpriced drinks 1 Guinness 1 coke £10.40!!!! Also young girl serving drinks at the bar chewing bubbly gum excessively Not a good look!!!

We eat at the Swan quite a lot, but this was only the second time we have been for Sunday lunch. Yhe roast beef dinner was excellent and the lemon polenta cake to die for!

We ordered the Roast sirloin medium rare, unfortunately, we didnt get that, part of the meat was ok in the centre, the rest was well done to the extent it was like eating cardboard, the place itself is great.

Welcome ok, sat at a nice table, sad that there was rubbish visible on the floor outside which had been there for some time it would appear. Ordering swift and efficient, food nice, service poor. No check back or further drinks offered. 3 people on shift too busy chatting at the corner of the bar most of the time. I had to get up and pay the bill as they were still chatting.

Another visit to the Swan, once again a very warm genuine welcome by staff. The Swan has great atmosphere and offers specials menu (weekly) and regular menu that changes during year. We both had fish and chips, well cooked generous portion size. Oliver served us and looked after us very well, thank you. Lemon polenta cake and creme brulee to follow, both tasty offerings. Recommend as venue.

Food was good and atmosphere excellent. However service was very poor again). It took 15 minutes after being shown to our table until a drinks order was taken and a further 5 to take the food order. The five serving staff were talking to each by the bar during this time, so not exactly busy. Once order taken food arrived within seconds excellent). After main course we were not offered a sweet menu or coffee menu. Plates cleared and left along . Had to wave across room to get a bill. Other had to go to the bar to get bill. Shame , a lack of attention to detail is letting down an otherwise great place.

Chose to return to The Swan as had many pleasant lunches there in the past few years .Table booked over the phone for Sunday lunch,drinks order taken fairly quickly food ordered by 130. Food served by 2pm,we ordered mains no starters;some meals warm not hot but always a good portion so didn’t complain.Servers are efficient but not overly friendly.Most of our party ordered puddings had just finished when we were told we had to vacate the table as it was needed for another booking -we were not told there would be a time limit either when booking or confirming 3 days prior.
