Nice friendly staff, excellent food, will be coming back soon

Have popped by for a cheeky half while cycling on a couple of occasions. Cheerful, friendly staff, ample seating inside and out, and what appears to be a wide selection of well-priced grub.

This was our first time back in the swan under new ownership and must say we were very impressed. Great atmosphere, extremely attentive staff and the food was delicious! This place has been turned around exceptionally. Well done! Ver carta

Tastiest food and the warmest welcome. It is wonderful to have this as our local. Such a good choice of food for everyone. A good selection of beer and wine, with either a cosy bar area to sit in or a lovely welcoming restaurant to eat. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely Saturday evening meal here. Very impressed by the choice on the vegan menu, friendly staff and the portion sizes were generous. Atmosphere intimate but bright, fairly quiet given its a saturday night too!Highly recommend the vegan shepherds pie.

Well I was in the area for work. Met Pete the head chef and Tyler the barman and was made to feel welcome. Pete talked through the menu and my friend and I went for the sword fish special and my friend the chicken flat bread. Absolutely delicious. A little gem of a place. Ver carta

I visited the swan with my family I honestly say what a terrible night. Where do I start, restaurant completely empty, run out of fish chips, run of ketchup then said they had found some, that was 7 months out of date (only discovered after we had eaten it)!! We complained at the end of the meal to I think the owner/landlady who said she was going to look into never even bothered to come back. Asked for the bill they charged us full price for everything. Steer clear of the utter dump if you don’t want food poisoning!!!

Honestly I was apuled with the state of this establishment I went in to be ignored for a large amount of time by the man behind the bar. After we had eaten our food was delicious and the service for waiting was lovely and truly took care of us but then we were wrongly spoken to by the manager who told us we needed to leave as we had been there to long and in a very nasty manner we then continued to speak to our waiter who tried to plead his case and apologies on his behalf however I do not believe that anyone should be spoken to anyone like that it was honestly disrespectful shall never be returning

I recently visited the Swan for the first time since the management change. Although the drinks took a while to arrive, the serving staff were exceptionally polite. The starters, ranging from bruschetta to prawns, were really good. The mains were a mix of great pizzas and kids pasta, with average ribs and a risotto that was initially good until one guest found some grit in it. When we pointed this out to the chef, they insisted it was a peppercorn, which we knew it definitely was not. Despite this, we didn't make a big deal out of it as another family member was covering the bill, but personally, I believe the chef should have been more honest about the mistake.
