I big thank you to Graham and Penny for the warm welcome to the Talkhouse for our annual Xmas big group of friends get together (Children and adults). Good selection of beer and wine and great a service and good array of food, very happy and would recommend a visit.

The car park is opposite the pub so take care crossing. It's roomy inside with several choices of room/area. The waitress was not backward in coming forward and engaged in conversation from the word go. She had a sense of humour too. She had little to do as the pub was without a crowd and remained so. All the better for us and we took our time. We were not the last to come but were the last to leave by far and we were not hovered over to help us on our way.

Dined here with work colleagues. Upon entry you will find a really nice old pub, tastefully decorated. I did find it a little cool when sitting at the table. There were only a coulee of tables of diners, so fairly quiet. Staff were friendly. My issue was that the menu is a little pretentious given that dish titles (e.g. De la Mer/of the sea) we in French and for each course you you choose petit or grand rather than having Starters/mains etc; just seemed a little all over the place.
