"We popped in to The Aroma Lounge yesterday, after having been let down by another nearby eatery. It was an extremely busy Saturday afternoon and we were really hungry. We were greeted immediately with smiles and were made to feel so welcome! We both chose jacket potatoes which were large and beautifully cooked and well presented. Fillings were generous my cheese was a very tasty mature cheddar and my partner's coronation chicken was spicey and full of flavour. We can't comment on the coffee because we had cold drinks, both of which were lovely and cold and served in generous glasses. The food was freshly prepared but still arrived quickly. Apart from the lovely food, what sets this cafe apart from others is the sense of real warmth and homeliness there. The feeling that once you have eaten there, you are now part of the cafe family. Such lovely people whose mission in life seems to be to make people feel at home and cared for and well fed of course! Can't believe it has taken us all these years to find it, but, having found it, we will be returning frequently!"

"I had high hopes for the maple burger, but the bottom bun was completely soggy and disintegrated due to the excessive amount of maple syrup. It left the burger soaked and unappetizing. The hog fries were another letdown; they arrived looking like a lukewarm, gray mess. The meat had no color whatsoever and was completely tasteless, contrary to the BBQ flavor described on the menu. The fries were drenched in a grayish-brown liquid from the meat, which was off-putting. The truffle-loaded tenders were the only item that was somewhat edible, but even they were just average. Perhaps they were having an off night when my order was prepared, but I don’t think I’ll be ordering from them again."

"We stopped here whilst on the canals and so glad we did. What an awesome place this is and the food is excellent. The mac and cheese went down a treat and one of the party said the burger was one of the best he has eaten in a long time. The beers were fresh and they had a good choice of ales. The service is attentive and the food arrived promptly. The manager went above and beyond in helping me out. Would definitely recommend this pub."

"I had been reading a lot on Facebook about the pub and the quality of the food on offer. So when my partner suggested an impromptu Sunday lunch I suggested The White Horse. I called to check they would still be serving as time was getting on. I booked a table for 3.30pm. We arrived and were met by very friendly staff who got us drinks and showed us to our table. I had intended to try the new Trio of meats sharing board which had been publicised on Facebook, however it transpires that it had “blown up” and sold out in hours. Also, they were out of beef and Yorkshire puddings. Could have been disappointing but we are both realistic people and understand we had booked last minute and late in the day, the weather was also fantastic so a lot of folks were out and about. The waitress offered us steak in place of beef. When we had asked about the sharing board she asked the kitchen what they could do and they were able to offer some pork belly, which my partner had, I took the steak. We shared bread and olives to start, with some halloumi fries. My partner says they were the best she had ever had. Both dishes were delicious. The main courses were equally delicious. I particularly enjoyed the red cabbage and cauliflower, the pork was moist and sweet, the steak tender. We very much enjoyed our experience and will be back very soon, though we will plan better, book earlier and will give a review on the Trio of meats sharing board very soon. Looking forward to it already. Highly recommended."

"we found this place randomly, we have to eat somewhere so glad that we, carvery only on a Sunday 12-4, £10 everyone. we had a nice cooked, not stingy on portions either, actually asked us how much we wanted, if we were enough, veg were all good, many choices, snatch, carrots, boobs, kartoffelmaisch, frying, stuffing pigs in cover yorkshires, decent thick gravur, (can not wear watery rubbish,) mint three of us it does not look like a traditional pub, it has a working men club vibe to him, but very clean, was nice cool and also, beautiful atmosphere, thirs, peace they eat in or take Asian cuisine as well, we will definitely be back without doubt. would like to make it at least a monthly visit. forget about, pictures of dessert, cheesecake, chocolate fudge cake."
