friendly service, but such a hot day there were flying everywhere that was a scandal as it spoiled the occasion.

sunday roast. very tasty bark in thick slices...not my favorite, but no one can cut bark thin, I guess for many people. crumble was beautiful. very large part.. everywhere good. thank you. Ver carta

Chose this restaurant to meet family when visiting the area. Initial reception was a bit grumpy but our actual waitress was lovely. Shame so many items were off so early in the evening but hey-ho!

I ordered the Sunday Roast and thought the beef was quite tasty, although it was sliced thicker than I would have liked. The crumble was delightful and the portion size was very generous. In general, it was a satisfying meal. Thank you.

Met half way for Family get together. Second visit here, over an hours drive for all of us but we’ll worth it. Very pleasant ambience, friendly staff and Eight of us all enjoyed different meals. Varied menu, something for everyone. Will come again. Ver carta

I have very good meals here, but unfortunately not today. I will not come back now until I know that I will not receive a recovery. there was a lack of scurry that we wanted to make available and eating when it came was not good. the service was also bad. we had to continue to ask where drinks were and where we were going. we were not the only ones with problems that we also noticed that other tables have experienced the same.

We had a casual meal here on a Tuesday evening and were pleasantly surprised with the service, which was excellent, and the meal which was very nice indeed. We haven't been here for a year or two as we had been disappointed on previous occasions (I think under different management), but it seems that a lot of improvements have been made and we will certainly eat here regularly again if we can get a table of course as it seems very popular indeed!!

An attractive country pub that was clean and the staff attentive. Two of our party ordered the lamb shank which comes with bubble and squeak, but I am sorry, in my opinion it was mushy mash with some cabbage added in, not my idea of bubble and squeak. Having said that, the lamb was delicious. The third member of our party ordered the Hunter's Chicken and he thoroughly enjoyed his meal. The menu contains a good selection of puddings and we found the portions to be just right. Being a Wednesday we were able to use our Gourmet Society card and received an overall discount. All in all a good experience and one which we have come to expect from Vintage Inns. Ver carta
