"We booked for Sunday Lunch having been recommended to try The Three Pigeons. We are foodies! We tried two different starters, both were good, not run of the mill, different and tasty. Good kick off! Main course we also tried two different options, roast beef and fish. The roast beef was glorious pink (not too rare, as some people don't go for that, but a sensible compromise) it was good, very flavourful and served with a selection of vegetables all cooked perfectly roasties crisp and Yorkshire pud OK, not the best I've had in a restaurant, but quite acceptable. The fish (Gurnard) was excellent and the bisque sauce flavoursome and a good compliment to the fish. A very good set of mains. The options for dessert (3 plus cheese platter) were OK we tried all three of the sweet options generally well presented, tasted good and satisfied the dessert brief, even if a little uninspiring. Service was a little bit slower than ideal (OK for a laid back Sunday lunch) but friendly and adequately attentive, without feeling intrusive. On balance, certainly recommended."

WE HAD A FANTASTIC TIME AT THE 3 PIGEONS. WE ALSO ENJOYED AMAZING SALVAGE YARD ATTACHED TO WANDER AROUND BEFORE WE SAT DOWN FOR OUR DELICIOUS MEAL. THANKYOU

Interesting and quirky place to eat as the 'displays ' change as the items are sold. The food is excellent and good selection of wine and beers. We 've been there twice in two weeks for special occasions with different guests and everyone has really enjoyed the meal and venue.

Brilliant place, came here because the hotel restaurant was closed and was really glad it was otherwise we would have missed out on a really quirky interesting place. The food was absolutely lovely and would highly recommend you pop in, especially if you are at the Oxford belfry down the road.

Love this quirky venue, where you can enjoy good food, served by lovely committed staff. Afterwards, wander around the antiques inside and out...everything is for sale. This lunchtime I was a bit disappointed with the food...not very hot and the soufflé was very salty. Having said that, It's our fourth visit so we keep on coming back for more!

My husband and myself spent a night in Oxford and we decided to choose this Resturant. It was a wonderful evening shared with our 5 year old. Food and staff where amazing and we couldn't recommend it anymore. Then one looks around and the quirky eye catching things scattered all over the Resturant are a complete added bonus.. Defiantly going back... Wish they were in Surrey...

Lovely decor and ambience very antiquy and quirky in a large way as you would expect from a restaurant running alongside a salvage and reclamation business. In fact a lot of the reclaimed wares are in the restaurant so plenty of interesting stuff to look at while you eat. We had Sunday lunch which was excellent and good value. Two courses was enough and there was a good wine list. All the staff very friendly and helpful and an open fire blazing as well which was nice on a cold February day. Definitely recommend.

This is a must restaurant is a must for anyone local or staying at the Belfry. The place is quirky with all sorts of interior salvage surrounding the tables. The food was excellent, we could not fault the presentation, tastes and balance from our dishes. The pub area was a little quite for my own tastes but it's still getting known around the local area. Great setting though and welcoming. It's also worth a trip in from Oxford the Thame area has been waiting for something like this and it's now got a little gem. Well done to the team at the Three Pigeons!

"We usually love coming to Cafe Rouge in Henley, always a treat for us and we are always looking forward to it. However the most recent visit was awful and it’s been going downhill over our last coupes of visits. We booked a table for my father in laws birthday. Upon being seated, we were informed that 3 of the main course dishes were unavailable.. pretty much half of the ‘mains’ options. We don’t come to Cafe Rouge for Burgers or salad! We opted for 3 portions of Mussels as had them here before and they’re very good! Mother in law just had pate as there was nothing else she wanted. These were possibly the worst mussels we’ve ever had. You could tell they weren’t fresh (cooked from frozen for sure) and there was barely any sauce in the pot! Usually they are flavourful and abundant in sauce! No check back was performed by the manager on duty..it was a quiet Monday so wasn’t exactly run off his feet. So we couldn’t alert him. Even upon clearing we weren’t ask how our meal was! Just asked if we had finished. We decided to mention they were awful to which the manager told us he would inform the kitchen. When he came back to finish clearing, my partner asked if they were frozen or fresh mussels, to which the manager replied yes, they are frozen. Wasn’t expecting that but you could totally tell! They tasted like cardboard! We had a coffee and a pudding and to be fair to the manager he didn’t charge us for one portion of mussels and the coffees we ordered. The Bill was certainly not worth what we had. Didn’t leave a tip, which we never normally do, but the service was non existent. Manager was more interested in what was on his phone. Won’t be rushing back"
