If we eat out locally we often end up at The Tilbury as we find it is the best pub in and around the Welwyn area. Always have great food and service and it is nice to see the owners take a hands on approach to running the place.

Hour and a half for your table is not long enough. We only had 15 minutes left after our main course and was told that we would have to vacate the table for the next booking. We could sit outside what would you do if it was raining. It’s all about getting in more sittings, more money. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Ver carta

Exceptionally good! All 3 meals on point, waitresses very skilled, attentive and willing to tell you about the dishes. A beautiful birthday meal. Recommend the Cauliflower Soup as the highlight and the truffle Mac and cheese. Kid-friendliness: Very good venue for my 4 year old, no issues at all. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

Went here recently for a Sunday lunch and we pre ordered our meals due to the size of the group. Once everyone had arrived, the starters came out within minutes and, once starters were finished with, the mains followed soon after! We were all really impressed with how quick the service was and how incredible the food was, so props to the chefs! The service was just as good the wait staff were all very friendly and attentive! Highly recommend this place :

Ventured to the Tilbury for Sunday lunch. We'll worth the visit. 3 roast dinners that were exceptional and the beer battered halloumi fries which was scrumptious. We also had the lovely calamari for a starter. No small plates of food here, ample helpings for the hungry. Great attentive staff, very helpful and extremely polite. Yes it's a little pricey, but we came away feeling we had excellent value for money. Great venue!! A great quality restaurant in a pub setting. Absolutely nailed it! Ver carta
