"For me Sunday lunch conjures up images of crispy roast potatos with a hint of rosemary and garlic, rich hot gravy, freshly risen Yorkshire puds and a nice warm and cozy atmoshphere. If it's the same for you AVOID the Tommyfield. We had to send the first plates back as all aspects of the food were stone cold. What we had instead was no better, it seemed the meat had been taken off the plate and the rest put in the microwave. Average. Incredibly average food at hiked up prices, and bad service. Drinks and food orders were mixed up, and despite kids menus advertised they didn't have any.

Honestly? The best damn pie I have EVER eaten. Village East has always been my first choice for hearty, filling food but Tommyfield has beaten them hands down! The burgers are awesome too :)

Very poor food; tomato soup with a slice of tesco value white. And not even toasted. Hapless staff. And when they tried to fix things; they even screwed that up. If you go here, you don't deserve any better!! Ver carta

I liked it, but it was almost none. eating was actually good (not especially you), but the feeling of the place was a bit off. looks like it was a bit amateur, the waiter was impatient, the music was lame and something like that.

Great Place / Great Service. I have supported the Tommyfield (previously the White Hart) for many years, especially when watching cricket nearby at the Oval.Very popular, so recommend you book a table if eating. Great selection of freshly cooked food, good wine list and staff are always friendly mixture of Brits, Aussies and Kiwis.

this place is frustrating. You can see how it could be great, but it's just not. eating is very expensive for what it is, i.e. not an annoying pub food. was not the worst I ever had, but could not help be disappointed. especially with the tiny starter sections... we went on a Thursday night and the place was heaving and very underoccupied, with only two employees tend to bar and dinning tables. as a result the service was bad. the management really has to sort this problem and more personal on how the punters became iron. could be so good! great place! decent wine, terrible service average food! I beat up here after an early evening on Sunday afternoon. had a few drinks and read them the time. I had to ask a few times after the menu, I ordered the pigeon bauch, I would be wrong to be negatiw as I sent an empty dish back to the kitchen. but more of a gay steak than boil, certainly not slowly cooked, excellent cracks I add, average youth, average maic, average green! decent malbec keeps me on running when they ever offer me pudding! a big can be brilliant, but simply average

Tommyfield, great place to eat great food.. Has a gastro pub feel to the place, with emphasis on the gastrobit, ie really good food without any restaurant fussiness. starters of whitebait (freshest and best i've had in a while) and goats cheese salad(delicious bit of grilled squash with the cheese on toast, very good), mains of burger with blue cheese and bacon ( tasty, two rashers, melting blue cheese and tomato chutney with it, chips maybe could've been crispier) and roast beef (three thick slices of fantastic medium tender beef, great Y'shire pud n veg n potatoes). Really good presentation of all dishes, and i wanted to eat everything on the menu but lacked the requisite elephant's...read...
