"CHECK THE OPENING TIMES AND CALL IF UNSURE!!!! If it is open, you're in for a treat!!! Proper country pub with good if expensive (the chef is a genius tho so expect that on top of his excellency). Good beers and a nice atmosphere make for a once in a lifetime pub visit. Walkability: Pretty close but no parking and a bit dicey late at night. Only in a empty country roads kinda way though Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Quiet"

"5 stars because that’s the maximum allowed. Small restaurant where booking is clearly essential thankfully we had but even early on an October Tuesday we’ll off the beaten track several would be diners were told house full but they could use the takeaway facility and use one of the many picnic tables across the road. Menu looks excellent but the specials board even more so, with a heavy focus on fresh fish all superbly cooked. It was no trouble to prepare a platter for three instead of the two advertised, and it came on individual plates. Choice of three desserts the two we tried were delicious. Free unlimited parking opposite"

"This is not my first time reviewing this establishment, but it may very well be my last. I have always considered Stokeley Farm Shop and Tap House to be a enjoyable spot for dining and drinking, but my recent visit following the coronation was a letdown. Despite advertising a special event for the coronation weekend, there were hardly any decorations or acknowledgment of the occasion. No one, including the staff, had dressed up, and the food (aside from the ribs) was underwhelming. The service was simply unsatisfactory. My husband had to fetch our drinks from the bar himself, and it took an almost an hour for our meals to be served - a rack of ribs and fries for him, and half a lobster for me. The ribs were tasty, but the lobster was disappointingly small and came with a lackluster salad that lacked flavor. The fries were unremarkable - I was expecting more from a chef known for their skill. We voiced our concerns about the service and were offered a free drink, which we declined. Despite not being overly busy, other diners left before us due to the lengthy wait. I have previously mentioned the need for effective management at this establishment, and that sentiment remains. While it may see a surge in tourists in the upcoming months, it is us locals who sustain these businesses once the tourists have gone."

"Had a lovely meal here last week. We came early so no problem to get a table at 6pm (although it did fill up while we were there). The pub is in a lovely location right on the beach with its own car park though the public car park is just across the road it that’s full. The pub has two distinct areas carpeted area next to the bar and a hard floor area which is designated as dog friendly and everyone had a dog except us. Staff were friendly and service overall was quick. There is a printed menu to look at and a blackboard with the days specials (changes essentially with the availability of the different fish they could serve). My Mom and I ordered the fish and chips and I had a portion of mushy peas. The fish was cooked to perfection and a nice crisp batter. The fish (so often cooked poorly in my opinion) were really good and obviously just cooked. My wife had the seafood platter which had a good selection of crab, prawns , clams etc and a nice salad accompaniment . I thought the price of the meals was about right for the quantity and quality of the food. We left feeling full and content"

"We had a wonderful family dinner to celebrate Harry's 8th birthday. The children's menu was fantastic, and the fish specialties for the adults were to die for. The hake and sea bass specials were absolutely excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed the whitebait we shared as a starter. The atmosphere was beautiful, warm, and welcoming, and the service was attentive and incredibly quick. We ended our evening with some amazing desserts: strawberry crème brûlée and chocolate orange, while the kids enjoyed their little pots of ice cream. This restaurant is a hidden gem; having vacationed in the South Ham area for nearly 25 years, I can't believe I hadn't been here before, but I will definitely be back!"
